Hello! It has been nearly a month since the land clearing people came to mess with the pond. It was finally dry enough to spread the dirt around. Now, all I need is to plant some grass and get the landscaping work done. I will set cameras up to capture some nature and wildlife. #pondlife #nature #wildlife #pondbuilding

Nooo! Your going to miss the simplicity of this vehicle, I basically have the same Tacoma in Red and I love it!
There's a couple of things that could be going on here. First of all, a leak in your radiators as possible and more than likely it's a small pinhole and over time it will drain your reservoir. What does your oil look like? Does it get milky looking over time? If so, you may have a leaky head gasket. Now I know it's going to sound crazy but why don't you put a half of container of black pepper into the radiator itself, not the reservoir. I'm an old guy so these are old-timer tricks to seal up small pinhole leaks. And always keep that reservoir up to the fill line. Don't let it get drained out like that. Check it at least or every week and don't take long. Just a few seconds. Pop the hood and look. Try those things and best of luck. I love these old vehicles though!
There is a petcock on the bottom passenger side of the radiator so that might be causing the small leak. I would try to look under there and find out but it's a pain to see. If there was small hole or crack I would try to jb weld it first. Just a temp fox probably. If that doesnt work, I think there is a video on youtube on how to change out the radiator.
Thanks for the info! I appreciate that a lot and any advice is great. Thanks for watching.
I have same year and model, been dailying it for a good couple years in the colorado heat it typically the resivor got fuller once its hot but not much and sucked it back in once cooled so if its consent going down its probably one of the hoses but if your going to change the radiator you might as well put a 3 core radiator and hook up a electric fan and getting rid of the clutch fan(gives the motor a lil more power as well) but i haven't done that yet as been running a aluminum 2 core with the top and bottom fan shroud for the clutch fan and its been staying cool in 100 weather. Also if the Ac was never finished and left open its possible dirt or something has contaminated the system which is not good. Ive replaced my radio cause it was causing the battery to die it was easy to do and worth it. Do any of your rear side windows have any sort of manufacturer or code? someone threw a rock threw one of mine and i cant find the right size in a junk yard.
Id also recommend getting a Haynes Repair Manual for these vans cause ive had to use it to find info that AllData didnt have
Thanks for the info on the radiator. Those are definitely some things that I have not thought of. I will look at my rear window this weekend and reply. I go to work when it is dark and when I get off it is dark again, lol. Thanks for watching!

I agree. I couldn't find any new 4x4 truck at this price. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing; I just purchased a 1991 Chevrolet G-20 and I want to keep my wood. I may be interested in the wood on your bottom console.
If I decide to get rid of it I will definitely let you know. Although, I may just sand it and stain it again. So many options! Thanks for watching!

Thanks and thanks for watching!

Hey man, would you recommend getting one ? I want a g20 so bad but I’m afraid of how bad the gas mileage is and it might not be worth the buy . What’s your advice
I think I replied to your other comment about the fuel. I get about 15-16 mpg. To me, that is not bad. I think it all depends on what you use it for. If you are wanting to use it as a daily driver then no. But if you are wanting to use it for recreational and going on trips than yes. I hope you get one! Thanks for watching.
Does it burn out really fast ? Would you travel in this ?
No, it does not. I love travelling in this. I would love to take it from Georgia to Michigan. I want to fix a few things in it and I will probably do so.
Hey, would you recommend getting a g20 ? I want one but the gas prices is the only thing that may stop me
I would recommend it. Obviously, if you get a 80's or 90's vehicle the gas mileage will not be as good as today. But, I still get about 15-16 mpg in my van.
I'm next.
I appreciate the comments and thanks for watching!
What weight oil are you running? 0w20?
I have been using 5w-30. My friend at work has a similar year vehicle and he runs his with 0w20. Thanks for watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 any particular reason why you run 5w30?
I would not have sold it. I would've gotten a used SUV for my family. You will never be able to get one of these new, ever again. SUVs are going nowhere and will continue to be produced. However, naturally aspirated mid size trucks are leaving the market. The Frontier is basically the last one standing.
It was a tough decision for sure. Thanks for watching!
I’m thinking of getting a ‘20 4 door Taco. I was apprehensive about getting the 4 cylinder but I wouldn’t haul more than 2 dirt bikes. The truck market is insane and I’d rather not buy an ecoboost or deal with Chevys lifter problems. So the higher cost for Toyota, you’re really paying for reliability and durability. Just tuff to drop decent money on a smaller truck.
Definitely a dependable and quality trucks. If you feel like you will want just a little more power than the 4 cylinder then I would definitely get the V6 Tacoma. The 4 cylinder will last a long time though! Thanks for watching.
Last of the good ones nice truck, my dad has a 2018 2 wheel drive just like this it only has 22,000 miles he said it’s the last truck he will buy.
100% agree! Thanks for watching!
Damn that thing is nice, dig older vans
I love driving it for sure. I try to drive it a couple times a week. Thanks for watching!
Great van camping in 😊❤
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Checking in on you brother-you alright? Heard your area got hit up pretty hard with this last one….🙏
Thanks bud for checking in. It was rough. The eye came over my house as a Cat 2 storm. So we had 100mph winds for about 30 min to an hour. Somehow, we only lost one tree and suffered no damage. I can't say the same for most though as there are trees and powerlines down everywhere. My power came back on Friday. I am one of the few. Thanks for checking in!
So glad to hear that-you were the first one I thought of when I heard it hit Ga. My heart is breaking for these poor people in the Carolina’s/Tennessee/Virginia and Kentucky. In my prayers but they need a lot more than just that right now.
@lookingback6314 yeah, it's looking bad up in the mountains areas. I don't remember a storm causing so much destruction over so many states.
Check out the Overland Torque Tune “OTT”. The load a modified file into you ECM. I have done it to mine it no longer hunts gears or odd shifting plagued by the Toyota factory setup. I wish I had done it sooner. My 2,7 now runs almost as if it were a V6. Also there is no longer any slow throttle response due to the fly by wire connection to the throttle. Just Google OTT tuners. They are Nation wide they will offer free upgrades as long as you own the truck. My Tacoma SR is a 2017 2.7 liter 4wd with 117000 miles on it. I had been using the Banks Pedal Moster it is also a great product, but the OTT is far superior and about a $100 more than the pedal monster. I wish I had done the OTT sooner. It is all still stock except for the OTT.
Thanks for sharing. There was some other people that commented on the OTT on some of my other videos and that they highly recommended the OTT as well. Thanks for watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 I also want to add that for your warranty all that is changed as far as the dealer is concerned 1 file has been replaced and the only way they would know is by noticing a newer date on the file.Don’t tell the dealer you have updated with the new file, also if the dealer overwrites your good file OTT will reload your file free. It’s a win win deal.
This a very good buy now about $300 amazon

I have had it for over a year. I drive it a couple times per week. I also camp out of it as well. It's been awesome so far. Thanks for watching!
this is my first truck and don’t get me wrong i love it but the 4 cyl does tend to piss me off a bit getting on the highway. it feels like its trying to fight against me when i’m climbing mph. but it’s something i just gotta get used to coming from always driving v6 cars. i’d rather have this problem and reliability than having a car break at 100,000 miles
Yeah, I learned that you need to hit the gas hard, high rpms, when getting on interstate and passing. I got used to it sounding like it and I actually liked the sound it made. Mine had an ECT button that helped keep the truck at high rim before shifting.
