Tesseract - Proxy + Nocturne (Live at Euroblast 8) HD

Live performance of Tesseract in the Live Music Hall of Cologne at Euroblast Vol. 8 featuring their new singer Ashe O'Hara. It was one of his firsts shows and he was just amazing. Sound isn't the best but the show didn't start sounding how it should until the 3rd song or so. Enjoy!
Sybreed - Revive my wounds (Guitar cover)

Guitar cover of the song "Revive my wounds" of the album Antares from one of my favourite bands, Sybreed. I can't figure out exactly the two chords at 0:33 but I think the rest is pretty close. It's the first video I do with multiple camera angles and I've used and abused them. Probably too much but take it as a test. Enjoy!

I got the opportunity to go on a trip from Spain to New York with my sister and my mother in December of 2011 and this video is a christmas gift for them. Is made of fragments we recorded on the trip. The song is called "Let yourself be huge" (of the album with the same name) by Ben Sharp, also known as Cloudkicker. You can download and buy his music on this link: cloudkicker.bandcamp.com/

Jared leto?
Admiro a los ingleses en general!
IMO Dan is still their best vocalist. It would be nice to see Ashe featured in a future song or maybe even some live performances kind of like how KSE is doing. Does anybody know if Ashe is doing anything else music wise???
He has a soundcloud but his stuff is more EDM-like as far as I know.
he has a new band called Voices from the fuselage
Literal chills 🙏🏼🙏🏼
James with the MoistCritikal cosplay
I wish he was still in the band. He's so good!
The band started out as a progressive djent band. Ashe did NOT want to do that at all. The difference between One and AS is night and day. Even the early demo tapes if you look them up make it very clear that it’s supposed to be a progressive djent band. I’m so glad Dan came back and since war of being came out, I just know they’ll go back to their roots from here on out. Can’t wait for album 6
Ashe was a great singer I love that era of Tesseract. But Dan always fit the position way better as a frontman. In my opinion. Ashe was kind of awkward and dressed like English grade schooler going through his “emo” phase. It just didn’t feel like a natural fit live. But I’ve been listening since the early Dan days so maybe that’s why I have such a bias.
I just gotta say, for as well as Ashe can sing vocally, he can't seem to stay in time for at least the entire first half of Proxy. Tesseract is a very rhythm and groove driven band and I imagine that caused just a few problems with the rest of the band. Dan can sing on time or at least does in any video, twitch stream, or live show I've seen. My opinion though, so you don't have to agree.
That guy looks like he'd fly off if the wind blew too hard
Miss ya ashe.
Incredible vocals. Ashe is OG Tesseract for me and I love Dan too, seen him live and loved it.
Abey chall -_-
@@niteshsurana KAUN HAI BHAI TU????????
SOCH SOCH XDDDDDDDDDDD MY OTHER COMPUTER IS YOUR COMPUTER.
I think he started screaming towards the end of his tenure with the band so I'm glad I got to see him go all out for Acceptance live.
This dude's vocals will always give me chills, especially live.
As a BIG fan of Dans work... I have to say there are just some songs Ashe just BLOWS away. Nocturne is one of them. For sure
definitely
This is so bad it’s actually funny 😂
Yeah people here are in hardcore denial. Ashe doesn't sing "I can't find you anymore" and "I can't stand still anymore" and instead lets the backing track take over, Dan hits those notes like a beast (though sometimes he falsettos the latter).
Both great singers but only Ashes voice can sound like waves, opera inspired if you know what i mean
Vibrato. It's where the larynx oscillates when you project and sustain a note to get that 'wave' sound you're talking about. It's something that only comes with years of singing and sometimes a lot of skill. It naturally happens to some people without them even trying.
ashe is so majestic it brings me to tears. dan just doesn't get what makes the nocturne lines so fantastic.
I freaking love Ashe for making the most perfect album that is altered state but I havta say Dan does a good job pulling nocturne live even though those notes aren't for him
exactly, he improves every time i see it, last live i finally got to like the way he sang it.@@ArpitBhattacharjee
Oh that blend. Oh no they didn't.
no last breakdown ... =(
Hey dude any chance you would have the tabs of the song? Great cover buddy!
Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have these tabs anymore, maybe you can still reach the band on their Facebook or something?
@@Julianbn0 Unfortunately I couldn't find anything on the net! Anyways if you ever come across these tabs let me know :) thanks for the quick response btw!
Where can I find d the tabs for this song
Man I just read the description....holy hell is Mike one God amongst men for being able to pull that off! Also must've been fun seeing the jam with DMM
I've rarely saw a such good singer in live, the same amazing perfomances that in studio, incredible
better than new vocalist haha
To sum it up here's the difference between dan and Ashe. (DAN is the original singer mot just a new guy btw) As I have seen both live I can say dan is far better. Ashe was flat on almost all his notes when I saw him and here as well. Ashe hits those little nuances better than dan but dan hits every high note of ashes perfectly while Ashe skipped them every time. Dan has better style (vocally and psychically) and his stage presence is better as well. Dan's in studio voice is the same you get live. Ashe was fake in the studio with layering. Dan also has better technique. He's able to hold his notes without getting out of breathe easier. (Check him singing resist live on their DVD) he bends the "resist" note twice instead of once changing keys while doing it. I became a fan when Ashe was the vocalist and had the opportunity to see both of them live. Dan is way better.
@Heath Dobrich I agree as well. It's probably because Of Matter is their most popular album.
Ashe has got a fantastic singing voice, but he often seems a little rigid on stage. With Dan, there is a performance although his vocals are not up to par with Ashe's. He could just be shy though - a lot of vocalists are.
I think Drop made his name because he always uses drop tuning! lol. particularly- B flat. what gauge strings are you using?
Daddarios 13-62
fantastic job. tight!
Thanks! :)
Ashe's skill never ceases to amaze me
Heath Dobrich Everything he sings is a high note my guy.
great video
v3ctors kills it
i dont think he did justice to hi own song , see dan live in st peteresburg 2016 , im just a dan fan .
Aditya Dimri i thought Dan sounded pretty bad on Ashes songs, even in that performance
I feel bad saying this, but how did Ashe put on so much weight?
metalforlife4ever he lost weight. this was one of his early shows
their shows are governed with computer software. the ambient tracks in the background of most of their songs are produced by computer and prerecorded to a metronome and played through headphones postones has on. in fact, they play the studio recordings of their songs with the drum, bass guitar, and guitar tracks muted over the sound system and play along with it. this is why you can play the cd over a live performance and they sync perfectly. the click of the metronome is only heard through the headphones.
+mike rubendall Yep, the drummer plays to click track, and the rest of the band plays to him - he probably has a little of the music in his ear, like a vocal or one guitar for example. While the ambience that can't be reproduced live so easily and the backing vox come out the speakers. My band do the same thing, it actually improves the live show so much, especially if you're drummer speeds up live. Haha.
+Arron Carter yeah that's also how we do it
Nocturne is a torment for Ashe. Poor thing, I would never wish to be in his place. 6:18
I don't think ashe wrote nocturne. I think I remember someone said there was a third singer at some point for like a split second
@@K_swiggle0440 there was, but I’ve seen Elliot’s version of eclipse and his vocals were completely different, so it’s safe to assume ashe probably wrote all of his vocals on here
Best cover of this song I heard, I can't tell whats cover and whats their stuff it blends so well.
groove for fucking dayyyyys....
Do you have the tab? I wanna learn how to play ;-;
Sorry I don't! I learned it by ear.....I don't think this one is particularly difficult to learn to be honest, try!
Christian Bale lost weight again??
WOWWWWWW Ashe is a godlike singer i don''t give a FUCK what ANYONE says. holy shit, he could sing my drawz off and i'd end up on xvideos... TesseracT is mad consistent, seeing them live is a must. i didn't know he'd hit those notes on Proxy that perfect. fuck me.
sorry for the delay. I use earnyball (this set ernieball. com/products/electric-strings/1695/7-string-regular-slinky-nickel-wound ). and they are kinda sloppy, thicker strings will be hard for me and i dont know if i want to change to a 13 or 12 set like you did. im looking for something in the middle. but cant find what set to use. i dont know which set will do best for me (i play the same gender as you and my guitar is tuned to A# too)
Yeah it grows on you, he has got an incredible voice... Lets be honest no singer is perfect live, that's just not how it works! Live singing is difficult at the best of times with a live band. You got the drums and cymbals smashing away in on ear, guitars in the other with the bass rattling your chest, if you have not got a decent monitoring system set up or some decent in-ear monitors, you are screwed, and trust me... Most venues monitoring is always a pain in the ass speaking from experience.
Sick band, great singer and amazing songs. Can't wait to see these guys supporting KARNIVOOL in November 2013 :-D
Agreed.
I think he pointing out how tight these guys are... Not that is was some kind of weird hobby to play studio tracks to live songs :)
I KNEW JESUS HAD A BAND.
Buen trabajo!!! La camiseta mola un montón. Saludos
My God!!!! The live vocals!!!!! such a gooooood song
D'addario 10-64 for drop #A. In this video I used 13-74 (8 string set without the 10) for standard low E. It was a bit floppy because of the scale of the guitar but did the job. What problem are you having?
No reason to do that, I wanna hear the performance! Plus there is already a Nocturne live video with the album sound...
I can assure you that the crowd was enjoying this show A LOT, just because they were not jumping all around the place doesn't mean that they were not into it :)
E standard but an octave lower :)
