Ran into the same matchup last week. I was on Gruul Aggro. Went 1 and 2. I'm bringing Ensoul Artifact this week.
Really good video. I like watching league like this in preparation for RCQ to see how other people play the deck. Thank you for taking the time to upload it.

What deck did you play to qualify for the RC?
It was an OTJ sealed event! i played a R/G mostly to support the bombs i opened. If you’re looking for a pioneer deck to qualify i’d highly recommend phoenix unless you have a good idea of what your local metagame and can tech heavily around it with a different deck
Congrats on the sealed victory! I know Phoenix is performing well, but I've been very impressed with Ensoul.
Mono green is so dumb and fun at first but it gets old real quick. Played the deck for a while and you eventually realize the deck is a big coinflip.
a lot of people have been saying it’s lame, but i’m just looking for a deck with a good win percentage for regionals
@acecalna it's kind of like burn in modern. It's lame but good and super easy to play once you get reps in. Really good choice for a big event imo . You just need to pray to the mono green gods cuz my last regionals with it I got back to back 3 mono white and in those 3 rounds whiffed 4-5 cavaliers and all my storms were bad XD

no counters on field means the ozolith isn’t doing anything, and the zabaz can at least block
@@acecalna well zabaz can block and give ozolith counters, also sets up better for the future

11:51 why not bottom ravager here? I like the ability to t1 play forest, have claim for their t2 eidolon, our t2 play saga into 1/1 hangarback, then just make saga tokens
claim is mostly to gain life targeting my stuff so i completely missed the line where i target my opponents permanent with it

Hey Spencer! Cool video. A few comments (will edit as I watch): 1. Why do you assume Jegnatha is Burn? I’ve never seen Jegantha in burn, probably cause they’d need to cut Eidolon. The most common Jegantha decks currently are: Jeskai Breach, URx Prowess, Zoo, Grixis Shadow, and then stuff like Food and sometimes Tron 2. At 19:19 why would you ever boseiju there? They can’t tron till 2 turns later and patchwork is a faster clock than saga likely
hey thanks for the comment! 1. i meant prowess, fumbled over my words. my mind goes to GDS but then i remember that GDS isn’t super popular so prowess is the next in my head 2. muscle memory and tunnel vision. i’m more scared of full tron than i should be

can you use pendelhaven on an inkmoth nexus with 10 +1/+1 counters? or only when it has no counters?
it needs to target a creature that currentlu has 1 power and 1 toughness, so you can do it on a 1/1 and then move all the counters but can’t buff it again
@@acecalna what do u think of previous scales lists that played 3 copies of bauble mainboard? is bauble bad in the deck?
@@reinaldtan2361 bauble is fine, it depends on what kind of build you’re going for. it was popular in blue lists because you could tap it to cast mettalic rebuke. currently there are other cards i’d rather run but i think it’s fine

Was there a kill on game 1 in the board?
next turn. play zabaz 2 counters, animate inkmoth, pendelhaven inkmoth sac zabaz to throne modular onto inkmoth 3 there 2 on ozo proliferate both for 4 and 3. move over 3 +1 makes 8 counters on a 2/3 inkmoth for lethal. add in any saga tutor for extra lethal
Lethal line for game 2 could also be performed with just the one hardened scales if needed by using the power depot as land for turn and saccing it with ravager in case others thought of that like I did haha
