if you're saying i should have kicked the bots, then here's a repost from another explaining why i thoroughly disagree: I'm running according to the speedrun.com leaderboard rules, and even if I weren't: 1. killing the bots efficiently requires skill and in the case of other campaigns requires you to play on entirely different difficulties level-to-level, playing without them is less skill-intensive and boring 2. kicking the bots is cheating - if I were to get pounced on by a hunter mid-run, would it be cheating to type "kick Hunter" despite the fact it's not blocked behind sv_cheats 1? obviously. the same case goes for bots, regardless of when you do it in the run or why 3. playing on a mutation is not actually playing the base left 4 dead 2 campaign mode, which is kind of the whole point. i have no problem with last man on earth players or other similar base mutations unlike some people in the RTA community, however, it's an objectively far easier way to play the game and IMO is far less enjoyable, which is why I no longer do it (although, it can be a terrific way to get used to running as a beginner if done right!) workshop mutations are a problem because that's just not the base game in the first place

bind v "callvote ChangeDifficulty Impossible; callvote ChangeDifficulty Easy; Vote Yes" (obviously v can be whatever key you want though) if you're on any difficulty other than expert, you vote to expert, but if you are on expert, you vote to easy

@@ARandomhuman16 you're good! i just wanted to get really specific because it's one of the rules I feel like people understand the least from the RTA community, even though I think it's a really important one

you reduce the amount of time it takes between shots by a small amount if you shove at just the right time, I'm struggling to remember by how much though

that's what close to a thousand hours of practice (probably up to a a hundred or two over at this point lol) does for ya! it's even more fun to play, so if it interests you, give it a try :)
