F-22 Raptor Demo Team 2024 new routine with United States Air Force Capt Samuel “RaZZ” Larson
We had the pleasure to visit with United States Air Force Capt. Samuel "RaZZ" Larson, the pilot and team lead for the F-22 Raptor Demo Team.
Our chat was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Capt. Larson, the F-22 Raptor, and how the 2024 airshow season marks the first time the F-22 Demo Team has updated its airshow routine since the F-22 Demo Team was created.
The F-22 is a critical component of the Global Strike Task Force, and is designed to project air dominance, rapidly and at great distances. The F-22 is combination of stealth, supercruise, maneuverability, and integrated avionics that represents an exponential leap in warfighting capabilities. Significant advances in cockpit design...

419 Sqn just demobbed this last March... They have 18 ''brand spanking'' 20 year old BAE Hawks...Yeah Think?

@@RPMZ11 Such a good point, and a very reasonable idea. Sadly, a bunch of the Hawks are going to be non-flyable maintenance trainers.

This purchase made no sense IMHO, when the C-27J was available and had so much commonality with the C130J Hercules you already had in service, the variant of this aircraft that would have been very useful was the AC295 gunship with added ISR equipment, this pocket gunship would have helped immensely when the CAF was deployed in Afghanistan patrolling routes and convoy escort as well as gunship support.

The size of the C-27J would definitely have been better suited for all the SAR equipment that needs to be carried, and the commonality with the C-130J would have been advantageous for sure.
