Lance has been inconsistent, but he hasn't had many reps to begin with. The Cowboys have shown that they can develop QBs (Romo & Dak) I trust that they could do it with Lance too. But, at what cost is the question to ask.

I had this thought at 21:07 I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people having the Cowboys at eight or nine wins this season. Offensively, you have a lot of questions with the running game and the offensive line. Defensively, this was a team last season that didn’t show up to a single game against teams over .500 and we have nine games with teams that were over .500 last year. This is also the most penalized and unprepared team with Mike McCarthy as your head coach since 2020. So even if we somehow win twelve games, make it to the playoffs but still lose within the first two rounds, wouldn’t that still mean this team isn’t good in terms of Super Bowl aspirations? Ultimately I think all these things are too much for Dak Prescott to overcome and he’ll get the blame for it. Love the show and conversation so you just earned a subscriber. Keep up the good work!

Cmon Dre! How many quarterbacks do we see that has to meet that same "he's got to show me something in the postseason" notion? We all want another SuperBowl but that doesn't downplay what Dak Prescott can and has done.

I don't like the fact that McCarthy and Dak are on "prove it" deals. We haven't had consistency at the head coaching position since Jason Garrett and his tenure wasn't great. Dak Prescott is literally one of the best quarterbacks in the league. That 2nd in MVP votes and an All-Pro just doesn't come out of nowhere.

I was ok with Tony Pollard walking this offseason. The offensive line needed to be fixed and that's been an issue since before Ezekiel Elliott left the team

That’s a very good question that might be 50/50. I see this as a FO attempt to reboot. Not a total mail in tank for top pick but definitely a reset of finances. They may be prepared to carry Dak’s full 60M on the cap now and his 40M dead money next year.
