It looks like the picture logo on the channel is different, now. i like the current picture, too. Love you all, too. I've run across some pretty decent music videos, once and a while: recently and semi-recently, like some Dicky Betts ones, and Les Paul, among others. it makes me think of old days, and i'll try and send you some stuff, at some point. Hey thank you. I have been on RUclips forever. I have never really had a channel though. I post no original content on here. I use it constantly.Yeah, absolutely beautiful song. Great chords. Great words. I agree with the themes and subject matter. Things for me have changed a great deal. Haven't had a drink in 7 years, and I'm 40. Hahaha. I wish my father could have used RUclips . He would have been in heaven. Yeah, I have found mountains of stuff I would love to show you. Haha. There is also a limitless amount of guitar humbling material to keep one in check at all times! Hahahaha

Thanks, for this reply, too. This was from a while back, you know. It's a condensed edit of the portion of the recording that i thought came out the smoothest. The song is from late 80's [when i wrote it]. i did another video taping of it, Eleanor Rigby, and some other stuff, not too long after this one, in which i had gotten more used to the guitar, and parts of those were more to my liking, but, in them, i wasn't directly facing the camera, like i was in this one. So, considering i took my favorite part of this take, AND, i was facing the camera, it makes a pretty good video, despite the fact i was still getting used to the relatively light strings on that borrowed Gretsch. Plus, seeing some of these ones i now consider classic, makes me appreciate that sweet Robin, how she faithfully helped film my playing so many times. Of course, i also have some videos where the camera was on the tripod, when it still had all of it's legs, and Robin and I were singing together. Plus, I have many good audio recordings of her and i. There is one cassette recording, where, after i showed her just 3 or 4 piano chords, she played a really neat composition, and i played her wood flute: along with her, on it. Love you all, too! Also, bear in mind, that in some of the posted music renderings, i was playing stuff, under-rehearsed, which happened to be kind-of-difficult things to play, even when rehearsed! Hee! But, it is true. i'm sure you can relate to that. Thanks, again!

Hi Monika, I love knowing you watched the video, from across the ocean. Hope you're doing spectacularly. By the way, in that one picture the baby was me, being held by my cousin. though that shot was, i think in Oklahoma, our family had just moved to Kansas from Alameda, California, which is right next to San Francisco [a suburb, basically]. I've only been back to birth town once, since then; although I've visited relatives in Los Angeles on three occasions. the last time in L.A., was like 18 years ago. I also used that trip to also submit some demo material to a couple of recording producers. But, with music the things I love best are playing, writing and the learning that goes into it. Also, Monika, you remember meeting my dad [John Houston Croman], well, on the Bay Bridge, that's shown in the maps and the picture in this video; dad was one of the workers who built that bridge.

I must say that on the one comment, from a while back [summer '23], by saying, "I'm confident enough...." it meant I'd become assured, after making an observation: at your site; that the messages sent were from THE Darcie I know & admire, rather than a stranger named Darcie on the vast internet. Apparently something in the rest of my message was objected to by someone. Either a view, or something perhaps thought of as overly "informative." But, I hope it's water under the bridge, & that you've stayed well & have a good day & start of the new year. And, in regards to "memories" [as you eluded to in the initial comment at the time], other good memories to me are the old Fuseball parlor days, and the time that you drove me and Jill P. to the music contest at "The Point," which we won [also, good times]! I would later play a gig at that same place, with a thrown-together combo, of me, Al Meeker {who then had a band called "GlamourPuss" (i know, i hated the name, too) on drums, his bass player (John Mayab) on bass, & Carl Bender on sax,[on the latter, Todd Wilkerson provided the information on him & his number]. I listened to one of the guitar tutorials, and i like your jeff beck selections, too. i'd never heard some of that, before listening to that stuff from your list. i agree with you in being a fan of how he plays. I started paying attention to him by the late 70's, or so. i even rented an album & recorded it to cassette, back when they had that used records shop near 75th & Metcalf. Take care. Thankee, Jonar,i'm sure you recall that the orig.,,here, was one of my semi-early career ones, right? Never was sure what to use for the title. I liked that it had some jazzy chord & note combinations which I'd been experimenting with. I would say, though, when I was younger, i played it a bit more "boldly [strenuous chord versions, & all]."
