Building overhang on knife shop/shed part 1
This just happened as I was driving to my Kia Sportage. All the other videos on this were a bit confusing since the sunglasses holders were designed different than mine. This is SO smart. THANK YOUUUU!
YOU SMART MFKER! THANK YOU FOR THAT TIP BRO! I tried super glue on the broken piece and didn't work.
Thank you brother! Super simple and to the point. Again thank you 🙏🏻
Glad it helped!
That’s aluminum right? Can I do it with stick
Cast aluminum.. got it. Is it still holding?
I had a welding shop do it. Can’t do it with a regular welder. It held until the engine went belly up.
Worked, thank you!
You're welcome!
Does this have reversed treads?
No

Thanks!
What size is this ? I only see earth magnet size of a quarter on Amazon ?
I took my spindle covers off when I bought my Hustler ZTR. Way too much grass stays compacted under them and rust the deck. I blow mine off after every use and it looks just like the day I bought it. FYI.... an impact driver will take off those blades much easier and faster as well.
You must be a super human LOL. I tried to take my bolts out and after several minutes of straining, I nearly blew every vein in my brain. Thanks for the breakdown!
Yo please!
I'm a little confused. How does a magnet hold to plastic?
You glue it.
Those pulley covers are coming off as soon as the delivery is complete
Just a little reminder, hose under the deck after finishing up the lawn each time, that will prevent build up and deck rot. We’ve been cleaning out decks in the commercial business in Pro Level South Florida for to many years to count. Thanks for the video
Great idea, thanks
Mate, that's awesome 👌 I was expecting a complete replacement video 🤣 saving the pennies, love it 💯👏
I love your idea. I have a 1957 Ford 640 tractor but it doesn`t have the roll bars and although I can buy aftermarket ones, I would have to weld it to the tractor behind the seat to the tractor frame and I`m not sure if that would be a good idea. These tractors didn't come with a canopy or a complete aftermarket one that I can find.
The chutes are rubbish…i change my and put heavy duty rubber on…doesn’t rip off when rubbing against something
had the same idea a couple of weeks ago when i saw 2 of these golf cart tops for sale . great idea and it looks good too !! Sorry for your heat wave down there in Texas , you folks got some tough hide to live in that heat ,God Bless Texans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. Hot hot.
Nobody cares about your dried grass BS
Thanks for sharing👍👍 at what speed (RPM)are these blades running at?
Thanks a lot! I just disabled my apartments gate for beeping outside my window
That’s great.
NIce video, I need to replace the blades on mine and have the old ones sharpened. I appreciate your stating the bolt size because I would have presumed that they would have been metric. I like that you used jack stands because you can't be too safe when working in crush zones.
Thank you. Yes, I don’t want to be under a mower when I die.
Just priced outer wheel from vermeer today 34.90$ each
Oh wow that’s awesome. Good information.
Vermeer changed price 140 each with shipping now
Wow. That’s a big difference. That’s how they get you. 😎
U da man!
I did the same thing! Have a stick welder and just pooled the crap out of that area
Great idea. As a welder, I did cringe a little when I saw that weld. its a "gorilla weld". UGLY, but strong.
Oh yes it’s ugly. Still holding after 4 years. Wish I could weld better.
Thanks for that it helped a lot... from South Africa
Just fixed my driveway gate!! Thanks so much. Those little beepers are LOUD!!
Would it be OK to post this in the 252 stump grinder forum on FaceBook?
Of course , post it where it could help anyone.
Good design
Thank you.
Beef up the holes in the new rim with a piece of quarter inch plate steel maybe . You could drills the hole first then mount the wheel and tack it. That way you get it right on.
Good idea, the rim is pretty thin.
@@lonestarhomestead5415 maybe even a steel bushing/piece of pipe, and put plate on both sides.. cut put with a grinder to make it long enough.. maybe quarter inch is too thick to weld to the rim.. 2 × 1/8th? Get it up to the bend and attach it there over 5 invhes distance .. Maybe a whole disk of steel that fills the flat part.. Easy for me to say 🙄
Hey brother. I thought this was posted in the 252 group on FB but I could not locate it. That’s about the only place people talk 252s these days. Do you care if I post it in there? Unless your in there and want to?? I just shared it with someone else on the side but didn’t want to publicly post it without your permission, and I’m not sure if your in there or not, I wasn’t in that group myself until just this year. Put this in there or let me! Lots of guys have asked about this just since I joined this past summer or fall.
Sir you are welcome to share it wherever you would like.

Thank you for the plug brother! Nice descriptive video! I watched it last night when it came out but the comments were off at that time.
Mustang rebuilder's name is Adam. Uncle Roots is named Bruce, Good work.
Thank u ☺️
Good viodeo thanks
Cut my ROPS to get in garage (made 40x40 inch frame)now I can put my Buick canopy on(hood)
Where did you get your blades from? Do you have a link?
Ballard.com They have tons of stuff and fast shopping.
My gate was beeping and annoying the neighbors. The neighbor was walking by when my brother was out resetting the gate to stop it from beeping. She asked "what makes it beep?", my brother, with a straight face said "it has a beeper inside."
I have a 1025r and every time I take it out to our property in North Central TX to dig, brush-hog, till, etc. it is HOT AF! A western style hat and long sleeves can only do so much when it's 100+ outside and the sun feels like it's set on "hi-broil". I've been looking for a cheap/affordable DIY canopy plan for awhile. This one looks really good! Might have to give it a go. Nice work!
Thank you.
Try gator blades. I just put them on mine. I love them. Finer cut.
Thanks. Helped alot.
I use a cordless dewalt impact to remove and install blades. It makes it a lot easier.
Thanks for the comment about using a cordless impact driver. I was wondering if a cordless impact would be strong enough.
If you can a impact wrench it’s much easier
Thanks was wondering the socket size. Had a 7/8 with me and it was too small.
Dude, I get my highlift blades on ebay for $10 a blade, $30 for set of three. The belts are kevlar and they are $29 compared to $60. These local dealers are a rip off.
i buy mine from oregons parts store i like exmark highlift on my hustler sd 42
Thanks for the tip. I will look into that.
You ever drive down the road at highway speeds with that?
I mean I drive it down the dirt road as fast as it will go and it’s fine. If you were to put it on a trailer or something you might think about tying the front of it down. It does shake a little bit depending on what you can stand you might brace it a little different.
@@lonestarhomestead5415 Bought a roof off a Kawasaki mule a couple weeks ago and have been trying to figure out how to mount it
Have a little John Deere about the same size
I came close to highway speeds on a tractor once.
I drive my ztr onto my trailer ramp with one wheel hanging off...replace the blade on that side...then drive it up the ramp with the other side off and replace the other blade. Quicker than having to get out the jack and jack stands. An impact gun (I have the ryobi electric one) makes the job faster and easier as well.
Great idea.
