Shako should work just fine. You just won’t have the poison AOE and ticks. I tested Shako in tier 91 pits, I added the aspect that gives 2 percent healing on attacks to my pants to make it easier to keep Tyreals might going. It worked just fine. I just didn’t like the loss of the AOE, but it made me tanker.

Yeah. We are losing 150 to 200 percent multiplicative damage with no buffs to compensate. Crones staff has been bugged for a long time now, and they have not acknowledged it because it’s not a popular build. Crones needs to be fixed. The lighting and storm skill tags all need fixing so they proc off each other and the associated aspects and boons that should have synergy. The free casts of storm strike are not correctly buffed by damage multipliers. We need some buffs to basic skill damage, and a way to use either a totem, or one handed weapon in addition to the crones staff. This would help even though it would still not compete with most other builds. At least it would still be usable without beating your head against a wall. Meanwhile I can take an undefeated Rogue or Barb and clear 120 pits while sleepwalking. Other than bugged builds on the PTR Druid builds are still mediocre . Poor sorcerers are in the same shape.

I agree, I don't understand either. It's such a badass build. It doesn't exactly feel dominating shooting puffs of air with windsheer. Druid needs buffs in better places.

The damage reduction and resistance affixes are the main benefits, the extra damage with the holy bolts is just a bonus.

Unfortunately Stormclaw is not in a good place in the current meta. Druids as a whole need reworks, and buffs. Instead they are nerfing us in season 5 for no good reason. It seems like they want everyone to use either barbarian or rogue.

Changelings debt is awesome for mobbing, but for boss fights it does not work as you can not crowd control a boss. I needed an all around damage multiplier for pit and solo tormented bosses. With chance to stun on my boots and pants, I proc retribution on ads and elites. On bosses it procs when I stagger them.

That's fair I didn't know how it worked but I see now. Does the interaction with werewolf's and the rabies legendary aspect help proc it more often at all ? Or is it strictly your attacks? Cause I wanted to make a build with Andy's and have the werewolf companions follow if it worked

Two separate procs. Anderials Procs off lucky hit chance. The higher your total luck hit chance, the more often it procs. Claw has a very high lucky hit chance and when combined with high attack speed it constantly goes off.

From looking at the initial information today about season 5, your idea for a build may actually be very strong next season

I tried it and was not a fan. I prefer Cataclysm. Especially since I built heavily into the lightning damage.

Sounds good. There are many ways to build different variations of Stormclaw. I am still tweaking things with my build. All I can say is experiment, and then go test it in harder content. If it works good and is fun share it with people. That’s what I am doing. I am just a causal gamer.

Unfortunately I do not have the in-game resources to make a new build to experiment with. Like I said, I am a casual gamer, I loathe starting over when I can just tweak and improve something. That is a large part of the reason I have not done seasonal realm since the first season. I do not want to regrind glyphs and gear, resources etc. So the build you are thinking of doing, you will have to build and showcase.

Storm strike is automatic with crones staff. Every time claw hits, storm strike does as well. It is hard to see what procs here because I have Claw, Earth spike, Storm strike , overload, overcharge and multiple lighting strikes proccing all at once.

Yeah I would say it’s either a visual Bug, or not enough room on bar. Would have to strip all gear and reset skill tree to see is it procs a symbol.

Depends on what you consider speed farming. Stormclaw is not meta, there are multiple issues Blizzard has to fix with Crones staff, the way it interacts with natures fury and some aspects, and Anderials did not receive the buff it was suppose to. That being said you can still run through tier 91 through 99 pits in 3 to 5 minutes

Either way works, but I found the lightning procs do more damage for my build. Especially I invested into them in the build.

Unfortunately Xfals and Andries does not have the interaction you would expect. Otherwise the whole screen would be non stop poison explosions.

I do not. I tried to do it on my phone, but it was too tedious. Between pop up ads and not saving between choices I gave up. At some point when I am not working or gaming, I may break out my PC and give it a go. For now everything is shown in video. You can pause it to see all my selections and copy them if you want.

Congratulations, I think.

Between paragon board, and armor roll on boots maxed out. One greater affix on boots and master working it should do. You can socket skulls in jewelry until you get it perfect. This build is just a template. You can make changes as needed depending on your luck with what rolls on gear you have to work with.

My first comment on the video covered this. Damage numbers were turned off to showcase the earth spike procs. There were so many numbers you could not seee anything else.

There is no holy bolt on eternal realm, only seasonal. This is on eternal.

On seasonal with the holybolt elixir yeah. Stormclaw is not meta right now, it does not put out the insane damage of Windshear or Tornado. But I cleared up to 103 on eternal with it. Definitely not farming tier 100 with it.

You can, but you lose out on a ton of multiplicative damage. The damage to distant or damage to close is a huge damage multiplier on the thunderstruck node. I am not sure if even having a 4GA perfect roll Paingorgers can compete. If I get one, I will test it .

My build with Tyreals might and Anderials is better. But they are Uber uniques and not everyone has them. So I made 2 slight changes for people who do not have them yet, so they can still make the build semi good until they get those items.

@@brianmarotta937 I wish i could get the helm and chest plate you have. i currently use shako, but andariels would be a better fit. the bossing is a little slow for me. i have been trying to make tiny adjustments to help with it, I swapped howl with creeper, and trying Airidah's Inexorable Will for the pulling effect with changling debt. but i dont like losing the ring aspect. If you have any suggested feedback for options without those 2 would be great. Thank you

When I get home tonight I will look at the new gear and make a suggestion for you. For the helm it’s tough. The poison nova is the glue that procs multiple damage multipliers. I will follow up when I get home from work.

I broke down some Ubers I had from last season. Plus the 2 sparks I got from beating Lilith, and Uber Duriel to craft the chest armor. I had the helm from last season, and a new one dropped after killing Duriel this season for the 90th time in a 4 man rotation.

The helm and chest in the video were not even upgraded. That only things I changed with the build was the Helmet, chest, gems to hit resist caps and placement of a couple aspects. Those changes are shown at end of pit clear.

I am not on seasonal, but you can certainly use it there as well. With the elixir of holy bolt it will be much stronger

@brianmarotta937 0 seconds ago I doubt it. Stormclaw is not meta this season. I would say with absolutely perfect gear, with perfect tempering, master working and greater affixes on every piece and line on gear you may be able to do 90’s comfortable. I doubt there is anything you could do on Eternal to push Stormclaw higher.

If by same you mean your build hasn’t been updated to the new gear and systems, then it will work fine up to a point. But to push newer content you will need to make some changes unfortunately. Stormclaw is not meta right now. There are a ton of better builds for Druid to do a lot better damage. But for me, I refuse to give up on stormclaw
