Beautiful heavenly voices

This song reminds me of my childhood, when my mother would put me to sleep. Music has this very strong connection. It's exciting. It's crying. The affection I had and will never have again. Maybe someone here will understand what I'm saying. and as for the film A.I, it reminded me of this connection that never left (boy/Robot) David .. he eternally kept all the affection that his mother had in his memory.

Omg…I’m a puddle! That last scene when David and Monica are on the bed together, after centuries of longing, loving, hoping, and waiting, with this beautiful song playing in the background, it pushed me right over the edge, until I’m sobbing. The ending hit me like a freight train, because of something I rarely share with anybody. I was put up for adoption from birth, my biological mother was a drug addict and an alcoholic, and I most definitely was not wanted, as she tried to abort me by overdosing on Valium and alcohol. I spent years in and out of foster home after foster home, until I was finally adopted by the most loving wonderful mother and father anybody could ever hope to have, but it was not meant to be. It was only a few years after I was adopted, my parents were both killed in a car crash, hit head on by a drunk driver behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler. I was only about 11 years old, but I loved my mother more than anything on this planet, and not having her constant love and warmth that only a mother can provide, it absolutely devastated me. My uncle (mom’s brother), God bless him, tried his best, but he worked two full-time jobs just to pay the bills now that my parents were dead and he was a single man with very little education. I am now 53 years old, but that sense of abandonment, and that longing from my mothers love for decades still remains as powerful now as it was back then. I had no idea what I was in for when I went to go see this movie in the theater. The manager called 911 because they thought I was having a medical episode, and in a sense, I was. I had a full on nervous breakdown, sobbing so badly, I couldn’t even stand up, overwhelmed by grief, pain, sorrow, and an overwhelming sense of loss, they took me to the hospital and sedated me. I really should’ve had therapy long before, but now it was inescapable, and it helped a great deal combined with medication, but that pain will never go away. People tell me I’m just being a drama queen, but knowing that you were not wanted from birth, and that your own biological mother tried to kill you, messes with your mind so bad, that you just completely stop functioning, having no sense of purpose whatsoever. That’s what this song did to me, and while I believe it is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and I cannot resist listening to it, I can’t help but fall apart every time I do, because I always feel better afterwards. It’s kind of a self therapy, I just have to be careful when I am in public, not to play this song on my phone, because no matter where I am, the moment I hear the first few chords, I fall right back into that deep dark chasm from which there seems to be no escape. My apologies for being so emotional, but that’s what music does to me, especially music that reminds me of one of the most tragic parts of my life. I now have my own family, I have a good job, and a comfortable life, and try so hard to keep the past where it belongs, in the past, but every once in a while, I just let it in, as it floods my soul, and tears pour out, releasing decades of heartbreaking sorrow.😰😰😰😰😰

One of the best movies I watched now am nostalgic.... The first time I watched it I was like 5 or 6 and now am 23 yrs only brilliant people can make this art shout out to everyone who worked on this film ✨ ✨ I will always love David for his obsession to his mommy.... ❤️

A veces pienso en la maldad que nos acaece a toda la humanidad , y pienso que todo es malo, pero cuando descubrí esta canción y muchas más, me doy cuenta de la capacidad que tiene la humanidad de hacer sentir buen a sus semejantes con estas hermosas melodías. No todo está perdido .

I own only one soundtrack album and that is for A.I. This track "For Always" and the instrumental version "The Reunion" are beautiful. You can hear that it has its roots in the soundtrack from E.T., non-the-less it makes A.I. one of the best movies ever made. RIP Stanley Kubrick.

Beautiful! Such a great Requiem! I think the solo soprano was a bit drowned out by the choir, though. Her solo blends so well with the baritone but one couldn't hear her beautiful voice.
