Because we actually make the gingerbread cookies that are the ornaments when decorated. Those are the ingredients for the cookies.

The ornaments are made with standard cookie cutters so they are about 3 inches in diameter or so. The snowman is slightly longer.

I picked up my pinecones in the fall and put them in the freezer about three months. I have looked at a number of articles and some don't recommend that at all. But I couldn't get my seeds to release from the pinecone until after a freezing. You could try shaking the bag and seeing if the seeds release without freezing and if they don't, put them in the freezer and shake the bag after a week or two to see if it would work earlier than 3 months.

Good suggestion- thank you! I also don't have a very heavy duty machine. A better machine is on my wish list!

There isn't the translucent look and the leaves are less protected. But that is an option.It would be more clear to let the light through. I would add a final layer of mod podge over the leaves and jar surface to help protect it as much as possible.

Yes, it can. I personally find that cardstock makes crisper folds and keeps the lantern shape better than construction paper. But construction paper works just fine and is so readily accessible.
