@ on some cut outs it’ll have one or two small imperfection top edge I’m not sure if it is the software or it’s the plotter. I would think these plotters would be much more accurate paid almost 4,000

I wouldn’t say it likes any more than any other tint that we have tried. We do use tint slime as our slip solution and haven’t had any problems. I’d try that or add just a little more. Thanks for watching I do appreciate it. Let me know if you ever have questions.

I’d say something similar. We actually only tint out of the closest bay and we do paint less dent repair out of the back on. Then there is 4 more bays in the back that we do detailing and ceramic coating. I’d say just start with what you NEED and then when your days are full of tint then buy the stuff that speeds you up

@@thetintwizardsllc3128 yeah I think it’s been around a while. Seems like most people use dryer sheets and we did to but for some reason lately they just don’t work as well as they used to for us. Plus I’m sure soap is safer on skin for daily use.

If the windows are flat or if they have very very minimal curve you don’t have to shrink. So about 90% of the side windows that we do generally don’t need shrunk. This truck we didnt have to shrink of the sides or back windows. But the windshield would definitely need it

I was using union before until I had a hard time getting what I wanted. If you do enough business with hitek the will send you everything that you’d ever need. The usually send something with every order so I’ve accumulated a ton of stuff. Stools, displays, heat box, ceramic coating display and a ton more stuff. Make the switch and tell them we sent you.

@@midmodents so I made the switch completely and got a couple grand in ceramic to start with. If I don’t have any issues with 400’ of ceramic then I will go with the carbon and dyed. The dyed film Is awesome and suuuuuper easy to work with but it is hard to find one that isn’t in the premium price range. I have not tried their carbon though and that is the next best seller other than ceramic. Geo is super easy to work with for carbon and shrinks nice but I only have three rolls left so once those are gone I will give HiTek the shot for full line. I am almost certain I won’t have any regrets doing so given the dyed and ceramic quality and how nice it is to install. Just not much out online for the carbon side.

I really need to make a video on this for you. We do a ton of marketing. Mostly on Facebook, Google and RUclips skipable ads. Another huge thing is mass texts through our crm to our current customer base. I’ll try and get some videos up soon that will be a deeper dive into that.

If you go to the settings in the top right corner of cores software and scroll down to the “cost per film product” line you enter your cost per square foot and then it will keep track of it. So you’ll have to do alittle math it you know what size rolls you use and what you pay for that roll.

Interesting I was just reading about that. Says nova on the car so that’s what I went with. I’m still confused but apparently there was a Chevy 2 and nova in that year range.

Usually not on short brows. Bigger ones yes for sure. So usually a 7 inch brow we don’t have to shrink.

Hey I’ll keep that in mind and I’ve changed that a bit in my newer videos. So the tint all goes on the inside but on that back window we have to form fit it to the curve on the outside of the window first before putting it on the inside. Typical cost on a job like this is 225 for carbon tint or 390 for ceramic. Front windshield is done the same way as the curved back window and is 145 for carbon or 200 for ceramic at our shop. If it’s single stage paint for sure and there is plenty of paint on there. Then it definitely should.

What model plotter do you recommend for window tint only

@@midmodentsI have been trying to get core for a grip now and they are holding out the goods. I am also a HiTek dealer and have a Graphtek fc8600. Also have a Titan 3 for backup and eventually my mobile setup but if you have a rep to contact and they are willing I would love to finally have access. I could see if I were a diy person or something but for a brick and mortar business it is kinda a bummer they don’t want to sell their software to me.

I also don’t or have not seen anywhere that there is a free trial offering. It actually says on their website they don’t offer free trial

Thanks I got so tired of buying distilled water from the store and when one of my guys told me about the RO set ups and how ice cubes are almost clear when you freeze them instead of cloudy that made me a little more of a believer that would be perfect for window tint.

Tack the film down in a H shaped pattern. That will keep it away from the corners. Use your fingers to break down big fingers to make them into smaller fingers before trying to shrink and push them. That’s about the best advice I can give without being there to see exactly what’s happening.

We usually do but unlike some tinters we can tint pretty quickly so they usually don’t die before we get done.

Well the pro stuff you can’t usually get unless you are a certified installer. But blackfire pro black is a pretty good one that you could by.
