Here's my ranking of Supernovas pre-timeskip : 1.X drake : Casually kicking a Pacifista in a wall. 2. Hawkins: Crazy defense,crazy powers, evaded most of Kizaru's attacks. 3. Luffy=Kid=Law:Fought side by side. I saw it as Oda's way to say other people followed Luffy's path and could fight against him as rookie pirates. 4.Zoro=Killer : Badass First Mates. 5.Apoo : Funny guy, cool powers. Didn't see much of him, but probably quite strong. 6.Bonney : Not a combat type, but connections with WG, and cool character. 7.Capone :Interesting powers, probably stronger than Bonney but dull character. Now i'm not sure about Urouge. Some fans speculate that his power his based on chakra. The more damage he takes, the stronger he becomes . If he weren't knocked out by Kizaru, he might have been the only guy to solo a Pacifista Pretimeskip
Im pretty sure that Hawkins and Drake are a bit weaker than kid law and luffy (for me these three are on the same level) but if you who you like more i totally agree with you
Leon Müller No way Drake was mentioned along side Kid as pirates who have made huge names for themselves. The way I see it Drake up there will Law.Luffy and Kid. In fact I thing all of them are ridiculously strong, doubt there that much init.
I like how you give drake and Hawkins credit. They looked the most impressive but I think of a wants to symbolize law luffy kid as the big 3

Now rewatching the Saobody clips, I also agree that Drake may have been at least top 3 among the supernovas pre-ts if you also take into consideration that rear admiral is right below VA, and (speculation on my part) he may have used haki to kick the pacifista. Now that he was given a cameo in the dressrosa flashback, i definitely think that oda intends to make him one of the stronger supernovas. Overall I like both you and OP's reasoning.
Actually Hawkings=Zoro same for their bounties=320.000.000 The highest above them are those of Eustass,Apoo, Trafalgar and Luffy. Aalso confirmed by Oda:Zoro=Luffy.
