2011 1500 ram 4.7 can I swap to 5.7

I have a 2007 I put a 2003 5.7l in. Computer, engine harness, chassis harness all plugged up. mounted up to the transmission without any problems connectors too. With all the stuff you mentioned as well. Truck will crank when jumping starter motor. but With key in ignition no lights no accessory only mileage shows up. When turn to run nothing.

how much did it cost you to swap 5.7 engine cause i want to swap it

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 $X$ full four-door with a 4.7 my husband Jeff bought a whole 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 2-wheel drive minus the cab with a 5.7 HEMI in it. I notice this video talks about the motor mounts won't work but you are talking about the 5.7 being a 4X4 going into a 2X4 4.7.

Why the swap tho ? I decided to mod the 4.7 with all the junkyard parts , ported throttle body from a LS with a adapter plate ported intake , ported heads , custom long tube headers , 4.56 gears true dual exhaust, tune , started at 180whp and belt out 330 whp on stock compression,that hemi you got only does 260 to the wheels on a good day and your prone to lifter and cam issues

I have a 2002 4.7 dodge ram , my last engine was blown and then I got a new engine they told me it was 2002 engine but once it was inside the truck they told me it was a 2005 engine but still a 4.7 . Everything pretty much fit good except they told me I have to change the reluctor ring or the computer . I was wondering if you can help me out with this problem because due to this I’m not able to start the truck at all it cranks and everything but won’t start

Hey i did the swap with the whole doner truck so i got evwrything from the 5.7 . But the problem is is the vinmatch on the ecm . Starts for 2 seconds then shuts off

So ok, I'll 'share' my next year's project with ya'll, as if one cares. 04 4.7 extended cab 2WD lumber rack work truck w/ ~160,000miles. Has held together like a dream, except when the lft ft ball joint fell off. Yea, it was close as mph was under 10. Personally hands-on converting into a strong & head-turning road truck w/ the lumber rack (light work & hang gliding). Conversion to: 5.7 w/ supercharger, manual trany, beefy rear end & driveshaft, wider rims (Center Lines?), flared rear fender, dually exhaust w/ side pipes (Cali legal is target -yea yea) & thrush muffs, disc brakes @ all corners (drums in back @ present), modified hood, strip-down new paint, suspension system stiff & all modified & new, etc. Perhaps after I resurrect my channel here, I'll post some vids of the process & results. Some trucks just have the look & my 04 has that look. It's a keeper.

I just figured out that the transmission dust plate from a 06 - 4.7 , 8th Vin "N" , Fits the 2000 318 magnum motor. So I think the 318 might bolt up to the 4.7 transmission.

Will I have to do anything with the actual peddle out of the 4.7? Like will I have to take the gas peddle out of the 5.7 and put it in the 4.7! I understand the box part.

I’ve swapped engines before but this with all the electronics and smog and everything may be a bit much ,,, ide do the work, I’m retired so I got time but layin all that Jack out for the motor and extra stuff is ok until you realize that you just threw all that Jack out and it doesn’t fit up !!! Ok i know this is a bit late but im kinda lost now. I decided to swap my 4.7 to a 5.7. Here is the problem. The donar truck that had the 5.7 in it was a 2005. My truck the that had the 4.7 in it is a 2007. I know they changed the system in 2006. Here is what i need to ask. Will the harness from a 2005 that had a 4.7 in it work from the fuse block back? I know we need to change the harness due to the change that dodge did, just needing to know what i asked. Thanks for any info you can give.

Question I swapped my engine from my 03 ram 1500 4.7 to my 08 ram 1500 4.7 as well also swapped harness and computer but I get no power to my instrument panel or cluster. Doesn’t crank or nothing

I don't know if you'll get this hopefully you do my question is I have a friend that has a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab gasoline motor 4.7 automatic rear-wheel drive. Having a problem locating both motor mounts can I use motor mounts from a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab 5.7 once again 5.7 rear wheel drive. Are the motor mounts compatible between 4.7and 5.7 same year same rear wheel drive?
