So A Neighbor Asked...What is the Supreme Court up to Next?
First, I think that it is important to understand that Ms. Ross is representing the interests of three EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE organizations: The Federalist Society, The American Enterprise Institute, and the Mountain States Legal Foundation. Unfortunately, this presentation demonstrates a depth of understanding that is roughly equivalent to a senior high school book report. Ms. Ross forgot to mention the explicitly anti-democratic ideology that informs the electoral college. First, we must understand that all of our founding fathers were terrified of direct democracy. They equated direct democracy with “Mob Rule.” This is why we live in a “Representative Democracy.” In Federalist 68, Hamilton explains that the electoral college will help to insulate the office of the presidency from the foolish desires of the multitude of people who might make a poor choice by electing a charlatan, con-man, or a demagogue. In Hamilton’s mind, the electors from each state would be free to reject the vote of the people in that state should they mistakenly elect a man of low character. And, frankly, in Hamilton’s age this might have had a good deal of merit. After all, the vast majority of people never even saw the presidential candidate or the President himself. They wouldn’t recognize the President if their horse drawn carriages collided on the street. Furthermore, the vast majority of people simply lacked any true knowledge concerning the philosophies or policies of a presidential candidate. In fact, presidential candidates did not actually campaign for becoming President (to the founding fathers, campaigning by an individual would have been vulgar act that represented a dangerous and disqualifying ambition), and universal literacy had not been achieved. So, in Hamilton’s time the electoral college made a certain amount of sense as an insurance policy against electing a demagogue, a con-man, or a man of low character.

I have wondered what the real statistics are on so-called ghost guns. I think the first problem we have in getting real numbers is that they often treat guns which criminals have deliberately removed the serial number the same as a gun that was homemade and never had a serial number. I heard a number today that said set the government had reported a thousand percent increase in crimes with ghost guns, and had to laugh because that really means absolutely freaking nothing. First of all are they counting the ones with the serial numbers removed, and then a thousand percent of what? If the number four years earlier was 20 crimes, then the new thousand percent higher would only be 200 out of tens of thousands of crimes annually. Honestly, I think regulating baseball bats would have a greater impact than all their talk about ghost guns.
This is a great question! The stats the government references do NOT distinguish between serialized firearms that have had their serial numbers deliberately removed / obliterated by criminals, and homemade firearms. Moreover, this "1,000% increase" stat is meaningless and meant to scare the general public that does not understand basic math (a 1,000% increase of 1 is 11). The reality is much less impressive than that stat sounds - especially when you confine the results to homemade / privately made firearms. For example, according to a 2019 Department of Justice study, of the over 11,000 firearms seized in Chicago in 2019, only 1% of them were homemade. In Philadelphia in 2018, only 13 of the 4,264 guns seized were un-serialized, and believed to have been assembled from kits.
@MountainStatesLegalFoundation Even a stat of firearms seized does it mean that they were a weapon used in a violent crime, it may simply means that for whatever technicality of the law the government tyrants decided to steal them. For instance, the firearm not being registered, or perhaps stored or transported in violation of insane local laws. Actual uses of homemade guns in actual violent crimes I think is nearly non-existent.
what the lady there for
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA "homemade firearms helped us during the colonial times.." BROTHER, be SOOOOO serious does it LOOK like its the colonial times around us? if someone shows me a homemade gun I'd hope to GOD they'd get the hint the second I sprinted in the opposite direction. BFFR. It's 2024. Do better.
Betsy undoubtedly prevented many college men from committing suicide, as a result of her changing Title IX rules.
The government is so obsessed with DEI, they have even made ‘equity’ the number 1 goal of FEMA, instead of providing disaster response to those in need. I wonder how many lost their lives in North Carolina while ‘equity’ was being implemented by our federal government’s disaster response.
Answer - theyre all under control of rocks devoid of light sitting on stately streets with van guards.

What constitutional civil right did they throw under the bus this year ?
Was there mention of recent case law regarding contempt of court for local government policy violations?

Thank you Erin! Would enjoy hearing you speak with Mark Smith at the 4 boxes diner, and Kevin @ CRPA about Duncan V Bonta, what the 9th circuit is doing post Bruen, and how that case looks if it gets up to the Supreme Court again.
"Their goal is to change our reality." No truer statement has been made.
Non white people can be air traffic controllers too stop lying and trying to make it seem like it would fall apart if they hired brown people
Is the government ready to accept responsibility if/when a plane crashes.
The person, seeking to be a pilot or air traffic controler, should be qualified by traning and ability. It shouldn't be based just on their ethnic background. This problem is causing many people to consider other means of transportation.
Thank you for doing this. I enjoyed the video. Very informative 😊.
We are glad to hear it was helpful!
Thank you. Betsy DeVos was awesome. She reversed the witch hunt against college men, and the discrimination against them, that was taking place under color of Title IX. I pray that the carnage that has devastated this country in the last three years be ended soon.
We thought she was pretty awesome too! Great to hear you enjoyed the webinar.

The quote regarding doing more for Christianity than Jesus, is wrongly attributed. It wasnt Trump, it was Joseph Smith.
States rights
Just wait for the tragedy when the DEI hired incompetent pilot meets the DEI hired incompetent Air Traffic Controller. Not if, when... When your victimhood status is the only hiring criteria there is somthing seriously wrong with it.
Shutdown all land grant colleges and tax as income any remaining wealth these schools have then outlaw contributions or studies sponsored by governments or business. Then do away with tenure
This is great. I wish other legal action grassroots groups had chats like this.
Any update on this? So sad

This expert on the Electoral College starts off by saying that the people who have lost the popular vote, but won the Electoral College have all been Democrats. She got it backwards. The people who lost the popular vote, but won the Electoral College have all been Republican. This is probably just a braIn fart on her part, but it's still a rather poor start. She then says that the Electoral College rewards those who build coalitions. What coalitions is she talking about? Were do you see coalitions today? You've even had sitting members of the House calling for a civil war. Ross also says that wasw not "slave" states versus : "non-slave"states. This is not quite true. The slave states, while not allowing blacks to vote, wanted them to be counted when the House of Representative seats were handed out. In the end, each slave was counted as 3/5 of a person. So in the calculation of "large" versus "small", slaves did count. Then the issue of trust. I think it's more correct to say, rather than they didn't trust themselves, they didn't trust each other.
"Humor gets under the door while seriousness is still fumbling with the handle." Thanks Babylon Bee you have more class than most.
Sadly, these deranged monsters don't just get people banned from Twitter. They can end careers and drag people into court for refusing to make gay cakes or hiring the best qualified candidate for a job.
Subscribed! Thank you for your service!
Crazy how blacks were enslaved and mistreated in America due to the color of their skin during Americas inception, but now after the "no blacks allowed, white water fountains, black bathrooms," they blame everyone else for the racial disparity they once honored as a society. Not all but most no better. You can't make this stuff up.

Okay now do one on how bad faith satire is immesurably worse.
I dont need a lawyer to tell me i once again get to see the same bible verses racists used against desegregation, race mixing, inter racial marriage.
"promo sm" 🌟
I suffered greatly due to this and did not get my job of my dreams. After agonizing 7 years of waiting I had to move on in my life and start a career elsewhere. I finally was offered employment right before I turned 31. But the damage was done, how can I get relief from this?
I found this video while seekiing to learnc moree about Gouverneur Morris. I did learn more about him (a an I thoughts he deletion of "justly" from the fugitive slave act) and I learned that originalism CAN be more nuanced than I thought. I enjoyed your entire discussion, even rewinding to better understand potions.
Good luck! Please keep up the fight on unfinished frames & receivers. 2A🇺🇸
Keep pushing for 2A freedom 💯💯
The drift and other cattle drives should be protected, preserved, and prolonged for posterity. That much is not in question. Not only is it a historical artifact of great importance, it’s of great practical value as well, providing food for thousands or millions home and abroad. But relating the struggle of the drift’s and other’s cattlemen and women to that of “tearing down historical monuments in the furthering of some progressive ideal” is a very poor way of going about its preservation. This isn’t a matter of political sides. What you’re referring to-or alluding to-I assume, is the removal of confederate monuments. I say this because in recent memory there are few or no other controversial monument removals in this country. Correct me if I am wrong. The southern confederacy has nothing to do with the cattle drive. There were confederates and union men driving cattle since the early days of the western expansion. Even before the divide in the mid 1800s, the cattle drive was simply an American struggle to provide food for those across the nation; North and South. It saddens me that you believe you must relate this struggle to the “struggle” to keep confederate monuments in place. Especially since most confederate monuments were put in place during the Jim Crowe era, specifically to remind our black brothers and sisters that some of us cannot handle a simple difference in melatonin, and not put in place as a recognition of heroism or history. I suggest instead that you relate the struggle of the cattle driver to the waning presence of skilled traditional trade in this country-readily replaced by automation, cage farms, and factories that pay very few workers to produce ever increasing yields year after year. This is a human issue, a historical one, even a legislative one, but NOT a political one. Not a racial one. Certainly not a confederate one. Very distasteful to hear you say these words about a way of life I respect greatly and wish to see prolonged into the far future. Furthermore, as you have documented, this drive and others have existed since long before regulation in the west. During these pre-legislative periods, it is safe to assume that there was little control over wild predatory populations of bear and wolf. If our ancestors handled the drive through bear country without calling for federal aid, so should the modern cattleman. These lands are their homes first and foremost. All use of the land should be done in reverence to them, around them, and with safety in mind. It hardly makes sense to exterminate a species to better eat another.. This video provides great insight to the shortsightedness of those who would destroy the natural beauty of this country and this land we have stolen. Very sad to watch. Thank you for posting.

If a teacher opens every class by praying a prayer, that is inappropriate! It is not a free speech issue when you are praying publicly during work time as a teacher/coach. this is clearly not the same as a teacher praying over their lunch or wearing a religious item.
This wasn't during a class, this was on a football field after the game, and nobody was forced to attend. It was all voluntary.
@@posthawk1393 A football field is the coach's classroom and what he did was totally inappropriate. and students did feel pressure to join. what if a Muslim coach put his prayer rug down and prayed on the 50 yard line right after a game?
@@peacockis5254 sorry, the field after a game is not a classroom, as evidenced by the fact that participation in the prayer was a voluntary event. And I’d have no problem with a Muslim praying after the game. I’d actually encourage it. Look at it this way: if a teacher has a prayer group after school in a class and invites kids to pray after school, that’s fine. Doing it during class when the students are a captive audience, and when class is in session, is a different story.
@@posthawk1393 prayer in schools led by teachers has been unconstitutional for decades. blurring that line does no good for anyone. a supreme court justice one said, "a union of government and religion tends to destroy government and degrade religion."
@@peacockis5254 it’s not a union of government and religion. I don’t agree with you. Seriously, a teacher and student praying in school is a “union of government and religion?” I don’t agree.
Common sense
