My mother (she passed away long time ago) used to have so beautiful skin, even she had been smoking almost all her life ( I didn’t want her to smoke and maybe this is why I never tried not even one) and my younger sister has really perfect skin. So maybe a little bit from heritage

Lilysan, I have another answer for your sentence. Please correct me if I'm wrong. 1 Your: 鉛筆が短くなりました My: この長い鉛筆は短くなりました。 2 Your: 赤ちゃんは体重が重くなりました。 My: 赤ちゃんが重くなりました。 3 Your: けさ、そうじしましたから、家がきれいになりました。 My: 今朝家を掃除しましたから、きれいになりました。 Thanks.
All of your sentences are okay 👍 I can understand them well
In 1) your sentence means… this long pencil, yes it is long now, but actually it was longer and now it became a bit shorter, but yet it is a long pencil
But if you want to say it’s short now , not long anymore , then you could say 前、長かった鉛筆は、今もう短くなりました
So I didn’t specify the previous state and only said鉛筆が短くなりました

Your sentence is perfect 👍 but actually not perception verb 聞く and you turned it to CAUSATIVE verb 聞かせるand also in PASSIVE VOICE きかせられる👏👏👏
アリスが歌うのを聞かせられたactually means ( I didn’t want to… I was not interested in her songs but I was forced to listen Alice singing a song )
