    Let me put clearly the perspective of the other side, as you clearly havent met them... "As long as universities pump useless activists instead of professionals and politically active adults on the market. Universities will lose funding." And unfortunately, you are helping it by being a jobsless activist with pronoums in their bios. The moment all people drop pronoums and just be normal working people, even if for volutary work, the funding will come back.

Pelvic bones shifted, breasts growing, prostate no longer the same, skin softening, facial hair slowly decreasing, bladder changes, feminization of face, hourglass waist and hips etcetc. By the power of the Holy Spirit. My body is continuing to change and grow breasts, and I will get complete female reproductive system for God will finish the work He has began until the day of Christ or until I get called home. This started after I learned that the word of God never condemned LGBT in the original languages and cultural context. (English bibles need serious work on translation accuracy regarding this topic.) This explains why so many believers and entire churches and denominations are becoming accepting. And a lot of my dysphoria has been relieved and I’m being set free because Jesus is doing it, because Jesus loves to set people free. My relationship with the Lord and my witness to the world has been blessed and people been more open and listening to hearing about Messiah because I don’t include bigotry. You can debate and preach all you want, it will never undo the powerful physical changes I got by the Holy Spirit, I cannot deny it. Why should the government pay for your humanities education? I deeply value the humanities, but I really don't understand why other people's tax money should pay for you or me to study anything. It's not a right. I'm assuming you are not even a theist, so where exactly do rights come from in your philosophy if not from God? If there is no absolute, then on what ground can you make such specific demands? And you speak about capitalism as though it's a bad thing, while living off of its largess. What sort of actual society are you comparing it to? (Please don't cite some fantasied ideal but a real example of an actual alternative in which you would somehow have greater liberty and wealth.) Where did you get your anti-capitalist ideas? Oh, I know - at university. Another reason capitalist societies shouldn't pay for the humanities - these departments are overrun with radical neo-Marxist ideologues who poison the minds of their students with utopian deceptions. This is Rudi Dutschke's "long march through the institutions." And once that march is done, your generation or the next will vote in the hard left, dismantle liberal society, and institute the sort of totalitarian Marxist hell you are so lucky to have been spared. And guess what happens then? The people who actually have to live in that world will suffer more and more until they revolt and free themselves and embrace capitalism. The irony is that market capitalism allows for the sort of decadent ideas your generation has embraced - everything is about the self, atomized and disconnected from any sense of reciprocity. Your woke ideology is ironically a reflection of the excesses of the very system you revile. Capitalism needs to be moderated by a strong civil society, religion, and close family bonds. Without this, it will turn everyone into a (very profitable) snowflake.

    • @TheQueerVikingBro
      @TheQueerVikingBro 5 дней назад

      First of all, it's not about the government paying for your education (although that would be ideal and is absolutely possible in countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland). It's about not having to pay thousands of euros to access this education.

    • @TheQueerVikingBro
      @TheQueerVikingBro 5 дней назад

      I am also not making specific demands, I am only taking a critical look at the current order. I am not a politician, I am simply a student, the target of these budget cuts. There are tons of options which are "not this". It does not have to immediately be changed in some sort of radical leftist paradise. Is access to higher education really that controversial? And fun fact, people are able and allowed to think for themselves, at university or not. I did not learn marxist(inspired) ideologies at university. And even if people did, they should be able to be presented with different theories of how society could potentially function. And yeah, I sure hope my generation votes far left. "My generation" are adults, and already voting. I personally do not need to live in a country that is turning more and more fascist, allowing literal neonazis into the government.

    • @TheQueerVikingBro
      @TheQueerVikingBro 5 дней назад

      And no, individualism is not created by capitalism, it is a movement that already started developing (in Europe) in the Middle Ages, with humanism. Capitalism only makes it worse, in the sense that it creates a society to which the people who do not fit in, cannot, and therefore do not want to, contribute. The liberal nation state is an imagined community, not an actual community.

      It’s not possible in Norway. Norway runs a deficit every year but they have several hundred billion in oil money saved up and they plan to use that to bankroll their stuff until the end of time. Their economy is fueled by luck. Yeah guy, you’re a humanities student, you’re literally the one whose supposed to figure this out. You think the business bros or the Stem nerds are gonna do it? What about electricians? Who tf else is gonna figure shit out if not the educated? "Growth" is not only about economics. It is also about humanitarian and philosophical endeavors. It's merely utilitarian for people to ask, "What can you do with this?" Human development is much more than just focusing on capital. We must consider that we all contribute when we are well educated and that this benefits ALL of us, especially culturally. Sadly, so many would rather spend money on bullets and tanks and missiles, all of which destroy rather than build up our civilization. Sigh.

    Great presentation! Humans seem to be predisposed to view the past (as well as the present) through their need to be "right" or "correct". Of course, being "right" or "correct" negates any objectivity about the reality of human existence. in the study of history (as, I think as well, in science) we should be careful of making predetermined decisions based upon what we think rather than what can be proven. Even the rigorous investigations of both disciplines can sometimes find that assumptions were wrong and need to be reconsidered. Thanks for your observations!

    1. I've always felt bad because I can't find a single version of Bewoulf with a relatively original context, because all of them are christianized. 2. For me, projection can be comprehended and justified. In nearly every context, even the cruel ones, like the human baby sacrifices to Moloch. Here, if a christian monk looks at the pagan gods and costumes as lesser and potentially evil, it's natural he will said it in his writing one way or another; the apparent neutrality of language is a relatively recent rule on the academic context, and even more recently the rule has been broken by the political circumstances: for example, some years ago the APA apologized for showing some sort of politically incorrect evidence; and here, you don't ask for comprehension of the projection, but directly for "justification", which is promoting a moral judgement over the monk's actions, because comprehend is easier than justify, and you, probably, are on the oppositionist side against the projection, so you don't want people think you are neutral or supporter of the bias. You are not evil, but I feel like you have done exactly the same as the monk: you have judged his point of view as lesser, and your work reflects it. Congrats! You're human too! Don't worry! 😅 When I discovered in my own point of view what I said in 2, I was very nervous because I didn't want to become radical or something like that; so my choise was to mention my own biases in my opinions, and think out of my own box: that weakens my arguments, but improves the neutrality effect; if done well, the point will be showed without need of polemics because I "solved" them myself before their emerging. For example, once I recognize I'm currently on the antifeminist spectre, I can talk about the androcentric bias on certain works without looking too lefty: some people (silly or radical) will call me hypocrite, but I know my own point of view better than them, and I, for my own values, am sure I have not forcing my opinion, but making a healthy space for it aside of the evidence; in any case, it needs a... good level on self-criticism, and nowadays that's not too common, and, even if you are neutral, the public can sometimes try to push you to one of the extremes of the political spectrum. Anyways, nice work; I've had liked some quotes with the evidence of the biases, specially because being a secondary character created "just for a role" is not bad for me: male characters are frequently as plain as female characters, and sometimes is the reader (classic or postmodern) who has a bias against the female characters, and they simply interprets it according to their own beliefs. Nice work, David. I wish you luck. 👍

About the swelling I assume it takes time for physical recovery. If the buildups are not pus but only blood, fat or kinda "body water" under the skin your body might do the job, but consult a medic for that. Stay patient dude! Bodies don't grow overnight. Spare invasions if not necessary! For the breast forms I would consult a sports professional for proper exercises to form the chest muscles you like. "Überzüge" is German called one which impacts in stomach, chest, upper arms, shoulders and neck at the same time. Nasser El Sonbaty perfected those once into excess You work out, you might know some. this is crazy. im a genderless fella and i do live in russia (our surnames are also gendered). i was planning on changing just 1 letter in my surname once i move out and one of the countries im currently looking forward to is netherlands. hearing that you have to pay THAT much for just 1 letter is baffling. heck, its too much for any name change... and i thought we had it hard with the costs (for context it used to cost around 15 euros for a name change over here, now they are changing it to 60. it also takes about a month for them to review the request here, so seeing how for dutch folks it extends up to 10 month... idk... its just a lot)

      @@takeitout998 yeah Dutch bureaucracy is strange, it’s a good place to live bc of the oversight of it (when you apply for a change you know exactly what to write and how to apply) but then it costs so much, and is only available to citizens, so I also had to become dutch to even be able to change it 😭. Idk if it’s similar in Russia but in Poland you are not allowed to have a name that does not match your (legal) gender, so you can get it changed as a “correction”. I thought about doing it in Poland but I would have to actually be present there to do it and my whole life is in the Netherlands so it had to be like this 🥲

      @@TheQueerVikingBro it's a really weird topic. *In theory* it is possible to get it changed, but there's little to no info about people for who it actually worked out, which makes it difficult to even think about/consider. I'll be applying to change my legal name in 3 months, so I'm still doubting if i should risk it and apply for a surname change with it as well. But hey, I'm glad it worked out for you in the end!

    I totally get that being unable to move forward or do anything in life because you feel too uncomfortable, I have that issue at 24 but things are coming along slowly but surely. I'm at that point now where people in public are super confused about what exactly I am and it's kind of amusing, but also a hopeful sign that progress is finally being made.

      Someone does this to make themself (as an individual) happy. It's the same as someone getting a tattoo, haircut, piercing, or buying new clothes. It is done to more accurately reflect to the outside world the way they want to be perceived. It makes them feel like themself, just like how when you wear something it's chosen to makes you feel comfortable and happy with the way you are presenting yourself. Literally no difference except for (in some ways) the specific facets that they choose to change in order to align with the way they want to be perceived. But then again, cosmetic surgery happens between all genders and identities, and I have a Cisgendered friend that changed their name from one female name to another because she felt like her old name misrepresented her as a person, so even renaming can be viewed as a pretty benign form of adjustment.

    very on topic for me bc ive got my appointment for name and gender marker change under the new german self-id law in 10 days ! :) the old law sucked majorly (paying 2000€, having to get two psychological assesments done to proove that youre 'really trans' and not just a pervert haha :') ) i specifically waited (idk like.. almost a year? mby more) for the self-id law to be passed. now i can just get it done through making appointments, getting my birth certificate and paying 45€. yay german name laws are rediculous and rigid. idk how youd change your last name. they normally only allow you to change your first/last name for 'special reasons' ( eg. you share a last name with a big nazi persona, or you have a foreign name and you want to germafy it (kinda gross but lets not get into it)). so i guess youd have to apply. damn just writing about it irritates me

      I have heard from my sister who lives in Germany that the bureaucracy there is horrible in general, so much paperwork and waiting and stuff... The old law sounds really horrible, sounds like what Poland has. You'd think Germany would be more progressive, so good that they passed a new law!!! I hope everything goes well for you now! For my first name here it was a similar process, I only had to pay for my new id, but the name and gender change was free (had to become a Dutch citizen first tho). Changing your last name here can only be done under veeeeery specific circumstances but happily it applied to me!

    Hi! I just wanted to say that I feel your pain about the last name. I'm also a trans guy, I was born in Russia (unfortunately), and I live in Belgium. Russian last names are also gendered (aka "Natasha RostovA" is the sister of "Nikolai Rostov"), which basically outs me every time when I have to use the official surname. It's completely insane that your name change has to be approved by a king (what century do we live in, exactly?), but I'm glad it's almost done!
