i concur with this statement.

I find it very interesting that two of his students now have positions in the Philadelphia Orchestra. The level of flute playing in the US compared to Europe is so incredibly low that it's literally a waste of time even attempting to compare, so I am sure that any European flutists who showed up to the audition were far superior and should have easily won each position. If we look at the situation objectively, we can see that it's almost a mathematical impossibility for both of those players to have been the best flutists at those auditions. Anyone who thinks that screens make things fair is smoking crack. It's a rigged game with participants that feel justified to do what they do. At the same time, they want to enjoy the various protections that a music union provides. So where does this leave incredible players that are not in the loop? Shit like this literally destroys lives but not fucks are given. There are some very NASTY people involved in classical music and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I attended the live performance on Sunday the 13th of June and it was just as enjoyable to watch these wonderful musicians performing again on You Tube.

They couldn’t pull the curtain so we can see the pianist? 🤯

This performance is comfortable to the ear and the mind

THIS MUSIC HAUNTS me every time I hear it! I remember what a real "Superman" Christopher Reeve was in real life and what an incredible movie he made (not sure if it was his last) but he said in an interview it was the most asked about when he met people. Haunting is the main word that I feel haunting is one piece of it.
