I recall being able to backstab the meteoric greatsword L2 at least once. The hitbox of the explosion doesn't actually cover your back from what I've noticed.

I don't know if your setup has any talismans you don't mind swapping out but the old lord's talisman will add an extra 9-10 seconds on the flame grant me strength buff.

People crap on blinkbolt as a basic ash, but it may as well be made for this weapon. Compared to the meteor ugs, what you trade with the aoe follow up, you gain slight i frames on the charge + equally as fast offhand & r2 followups

Can only parry colossal swords if they are being held one handed, regular colossal weapons cannot and they leave a stun wave outside of their hit-box if they hit the ground and you lack poise. Other than that, flails & whips of course you know, that's why they make wonderful off hand's to hit-check with.

I've been using the Fire Knight's Greatsword in both PvE and the PvP Coliseum and it's just amazing. It's my new favorite weapon in the game. It does a lot of damage, it looks swag, and it has an excellent move set.

Sometimes your hits don't go through or you see projectiles passing though things they shouldn't, and that's because From's games tend to be client-authoritative, particularly host-authoritative. It would be particularly annoying for the invadees to get hit without just cause, so From decided that an invasion system that favors hosts is a little more fair on them. It's not ideal, sure, but it kinda can't be.

Damage is too low compared to even the other scythes to be much use, it's really cool though but very difficult to get, weird stat spread which isn't great for dex and the Arcane scaling is too low for it to be used on those builds, and Arcane just isn't worth it to put points into outside of building an arcane build. There are allot of weapons in the dlc that require 15-20 faith and a little int, but faith opens up allot of utility spells and the int requirements tend to be pretty low. The ash of war is neat but not good. It needs its Arcane requirement removed and a damage buff

Lol that last fatroll katana hunter totally was just trying out armor and weapons and forgot he had the summon thing on. Happened to me so many times and it's still embarrassing

Hey, was the most op sword in the dlc for a reason xD. Although i heard that it got debuffed, i still think its the best among the collossal swords.

The Geico Greatsword. It's best to shoot the tongue as a roll catch when they don't have much health left. Pretty cool that it procs so I would definitely consider bleed infusion. Hit them a couple of times and then proc bleed with the tongue when they try to roll away. Also hitting them up close with the heavy poke and projectile does great damage.

Just had an invader today where he had dual spears would run in for one poke and then just constantly run away. Me and the host spent 30 minutes chasing him from the burnt ruins up to Belurat’s gate and up the path to the bloodfiend area.

Don't forget to bait an R1 into a R2 attack. Or two R1s.

This weapon needs hyper armor during the AOW, leave a lingering cloud of rot behind (like chilling mist), and slightly more rot proc. That would make it perfect.

I think the best way to use this weapon is to catch them with the ash of war once or twice then poke them until they get rotted. Rotten wing insignia, spear, Millicent's prosthesis, and pest talismans definitely helps this weapon.

Surprisingly this sword has a bigger hitbox than the Greatsword. Love this weapon (especially cold infused aka chilling mist).

The Obsidia Lamina Reaper, is one of the coolest weapons in my opinion.

It looks like it'd be a great counter to jump attacks, the stagger is amazing and it could also be used in close range.

Those beast claws are no joke as I once encountered them while invading the bleed output on them is insane. Also, if I may ask what platform to invade on, I am always on the lookout for fellow invaders! Also, wandering if godskin swaddling cloth is even worth it for the heals, probably not.

Raging beast ash of war look like it sucks in pvp. Also, i really wanna know a good counter to shield and poke builds, like ones other than kick and collossal swords, my main means of combat are dex, is there really no way to effectively counter them?

Good stuff! This is a very interesting weapon, and I was very curious how it would feel in invasions. It seems like the long ash of war would be scary if you can hit it, but difficult to pull off if you've got 3 people throwing lasers at you.

How did you fuck that first invasion up? Like just fight them when theyre around the death hex eyes, you ran by them twice.
