yeah. I agree. it's just it could be so much better then is currently is and it annoys me so much. the high end I needed to remove due to it being super harsh and just unpleasant to listen to. but now I have better mixing headphones so you should see an improvement if you plan on sticking around

@@Penutbutter_gellyTwoow awesome awesome. I think when it comes to silly billy itself the harshness really IS the point of it. If you want to remove the really hurty sounds, i recommend just using eq and cutting down ONLY the 3k range, but since it's rock be weary of cutting too much as it may influence the guitars' intensity (though Silly Billy's guitars aren't very well defined and are hard to pinpoint, so take it with a grain of salt). Also idk if everyone has this when they wear new headphones with higher range, but maybe get used to hearing with the new headphones before making anything musical. Took me a bit to adjust to higher frequencies on my own. That's it from me, have a good one!

Toby Fox I'd say isn't the best at mixing or mastering, yet his music is still legendary due to its how it's composed. but songs such as silly billy desperately need better mixing and mastering due to the sheer number of sounds playing at the same time, it's impossible to hear all the little details and it all creates a super harsh sound. just make sure to make your songs peak at 0db with a limiter (if you use FL, fruity limiter has a built-in 'in gain', which makes the whole song quieter/louder so it gets to that 0db.

@Penutbutter_gellyTwoow not necessarily a die hard fan for fnf stuff but I dabbled a bit in some of these popular works and yes the music for Silly Billy is amazing for what's it doing but I always felt like the mixing for it was mid. I can tell a difference within the video and can say you did a good job at trying. Yt compression will- of course, ruin most of the finer details but it's still very good nonetheless. Hopefully other people understand that this was mostly a labor of love.

well, there's a normal remix, (re-making the song in someone else's style) and my remixes. where I literally re-mix the whole song to be cleaner and overall more polished. where as a remaster (my definition on this channel) is I take the song and re-do the mastering (the final step in creating music, giving everything it's punch, width and whatnot). I do not have access to the silly billy FLP or stems to actually re-mix the song (as much as I'd love to do that)

@khakisboy6641 Yeah, I had to remove a metric ton of high mids (like ~3Khz). I can't fix that issue because of bad mixing decisions :P

@Therattiestboyever it sounds worse in someways and better in others. the reason why it sounds bad is due to bad mixing. it's like trying to fix a how a cake tastes when it's already baked

@@Penutbutter_gellyTwoow you didn't mix at all you just slapped tons of effects onto something and called it a remaster. The only change is its now really echoey due to the reverb.

@@drowsytheawsum I added 0 reverb. I know I didn't mix it as all because I don't have access to the FLP of the song but I did what I could with the rendered inst and vocals.
