First review & taking the truck to Mexico! 🇲🇽 Follow along for the journey.
that tailgate is really light, my gen 12 tailgate feels like its over 100 pounds.
Where did you find the rubber caps for the evap and imrc you had on your intake swap video?
Not even close to stock lol.
What suspension mods are done? Anything to lower it?
@@benjaminleemon9199 2" rear lowering shackle is the only suspension mod
Is your truck 4x4? No Whipple just a tune?
Nice video, as usual, Mr B. 🤙🏼
Nearly stock my ass!
Intake and e85 with a tune ain’t much. People that ain’t even ram e85 in a 5.0 just don’t know 😂
Legal to drive without bumpers? Any lightweight aftermarket options? That was more weight than I was expecting
@ce7190 not sure, they do make hitch delete brackets that will save roughly 30lbs off the rear while still keeping the factory rear bumper
i don't believe this is accurate sorry, for one you need a new tune for the new manifold but just my opinion and what i have seen with others that has done the same swap .
Is the truck tuned? Because without a tune a manifold swap wont gain much swapping intakes
Funny no Gains. A hr break isn’t really time to cool down.
Liked and subscribed!! Good stuff. Can you see what s&b cai will do, if anything? I watched a before and after of the s&b using dragy on a different channel. They dropped 2/10ths in the 1/4.
@rendiewmit86 if I get my hands on a s&b I will draggy it back to back for you. I can tell you right now that I will not pick up 2/10ths in the 1/4 from that single change
@@flashabel I wouldn't believe it either. Something had to be different with weather or incline or weight from their back to back runs
@@flashabelI have a 2024. Where would you start with performance mods after weight reduction?
@rendiewmit86 so we went 12.5 in a 2022 before tuning was released for the 21-23 mods. This is what I would do, keep in mind your biggest hurdle is the speed limiter. Weight reduction, forscan to trick speed limiter, gt manifold, and weather always helps. 2wd run a radial, 4wd any basic street tire will do.
@@flashabel thank you. Mine is 4x2. Any info on modifying the gt manifold?
Time to send it back 😂
is this with the manifold adapter? or is the manifold modded to fit the 21+
@peppers1331 Both were modded to run no adaptor plates.
@@flashabel who modded them? could you send the link?
@@peppers1331 I modded them my self
A tune update moving the cams to match the intake is where we see power on the dyno. Good info here👍
Great Video!
Wow my bone stock 2024 ran 14.00 best time. 0-60 in 5.77. Dragy DA said about 4115 ft correction. But still seems slow
Thanks for the test. Not surprised either that there wasn't any gain. I just like watching that truck run, and enjoy these test you do. I have a 2024 rcsb 4x4 i picked up couple weeks ago. Its probably gonna be awhile before i can tune it. I still haven't dragy tested it yet, maybe tonight or tomorrow i will
Good on you for doing an accurate test. Now.... if you could gets your hands on a Chuy's ported boss manifold vs the 18 manifold, that would be a great test!
Great suggestion! I really need to find time for a gt350 vs gt manifold. Yes a ported boss would also be a good test.
@@flashabel Make your truck run like the new ZR1 Corvette of 2025 with over 1,064 Horsepower.
@flashabel If you do test a boss manifold I would highly suggest a ported boss from Chuys or 1320. IMO the boss manifold is the only manifold that makes a difference when ported
@NITROUSnBIASPLYS Agree. gen 3 f150s are faster with the ported boss over the gt. These don't like the higher rpm of the gen 3 so it would be a interesting test
@flashabel I'm sure that video testing ported boss vs 18 gt manifold would get a fair amount of views
When putting a mustang manifold on did you use the imcr from the 18 manifold?
@@NITROUSnBIASPLYS NO. 21+ trucks don't have imrc.
@@flashabel well that's perfect then. Would you say a 21-24 f150 5.0 is a good truck? I'm looking at ordering a '24 5.0
Thats absurd to strip those parts off
It's absurd that you don't understand what an experiment is LOL
Get a 3/5 drop maybe that will make it more aerodynamic with all that weight off
You actually add more weight when you drop a truck .. the after market A arms weigh more , and same goes for the flip kit . I’d say you add about 50lbs back on the truck ..
I see you turned the comments off on your first video. Just wanted to say great bone stock run. I think you could have gotten into the 12's on a better surface.
Good video, this truck is quick for stock.
Need to use same tire/tread design for apples to apples comparison. what about MPG differences?
@LockStockAndBabble yes you are correct. Sorry I'm not worried about mpg differences. That would be interesting to see though.
Keep in mind that the difference in overall diameter will throw off the speedometer readings and change trap speed as well. Unless you altered the tune to account for the differences.
@craigmeade1517 yes changed in forscan, whoever even if you don't change thise setting, it will not throw off the trap speeds at the track or draggy. Track uses timers and draggy uses satellites, both don't care what tire diameter, gears, or your speedo says. Hell you could rip out your speedo and the timers and satellites will still be accurate.
Love your stock to upgrade approach to these videos. I did all my mods to my Ecoboost at once and can't see what gained and what didn't make a difference.
What time was it full weight?
the times at the end of the video. 0-60 4.7 and 1/4 mile 12.7.
Thank you for your contributions 🫡🫡
Hey buddy on your other video about installing the Mustang intake, what spacers should I buy??
I have had 2 xl work trucks . Good trucks but not a lot of options. One is a 2012 3.7 . I have this same truck you got coming July 8th . Im doing the supercharger and a exhaust and lowering it and a few other things . I want 10s . I figured you want some weight over the rear tires that wheel and tire would help but then again you are 4x4 . Mine is 2 wheel drive 5.0 but I’m going to leave the spare . Fast truck cause my other 2 was dogs . I wish we could get these with no touch screens back up cameras power windows and etc . Trucks light to me they got 800lbs of crap we don’t need like a giant touch screen and wiring . Only thing I’m worried about is the 10a80 transmission. I hear more bad about that transmission I’m already saving for a $8,000 race trans lol
@jeffwoods9666 I think 2022 was the last year u could get roll up windows. Good luck on the adventure with your truck
Launch in 4 wheel.
What tune do you have on the truck?

Hello. Can I get a parts list from you so that I may install my manifold myself? Spacers types and sizes, etc..modifications and tools to use. Thanks
Lazy Lol
What intake manifold did you put 2018 ford gt intake ?
Is the intake from the Mustang ?
@saulbonilla8883 2018-23 gt manifold. All gen3 oem intakes can be modded to fit. There is no perfect intake, all have there positives and negatives.
@@flashabel you don’t know where I can get one ?
I sent you a pm on messenger
What did you use for spacers on fuel rail stand ?
Did you find thw spacers?
New poor mans hotrod! sub 4 sec 0-60 time. Impressive, esp in the 4X4.
poor mans? 45-50k lol
@@Five0fiddy Good point- OK, New Rich mans overpriced Toy!
@@chrisfrank8413 eh… not really. Compared to other power platforms they’re in my opinion the best bang for buck horsepower in an AWD/4WD application if you plan on reaching 800+hp
@@Five0fiddy Not happy either way, huh? Base is 39k, no options. throw on a SC and it's 50 and it's a Roaster, but i'm not into driving around in big boxes.
What all is exactly done to the truck in this video besides the weight reduction and manifold that you did?
And its still a boring ford
Jealous
Then why you here just to be negative?
What u talking bout dude…ford is hard Af nowadays if there’s a boring truck it’d be a ram or Silverado
@@gypsynikkomitchell3077 don't forget toyota the head of boring
@@johnhahn8464 oh yeah I forgot Toyota and Nissan even made trucks 😂
Hey bro. in your 1st video you have comments turned off. so im commenting here. i was curious you said truck weighted 4660 lbs. was that weight with you in the truck or not. amd also was that a full tank of gas or partial. im just wondering. i have same truck just 2wd. great run going 11's that awesome.
With me in the truck
TC customs does a video about a lowered truck and a raised truck, both regular cab short bed. The lowered 4x2 weighed 4320. Not sure if that was with a driver.
I don't think single person weight is going to be that significant anyway. I usually just estimate it at 200lbs. for an adult man. That's not making a substantial difference either way.
11 mods ago was nearly stock
Does this guy know what stock actually means ??
It’s stock bud
Do you?
@@ChuckThree lol , fucking kids these days .
When you say stock exhaust , did you mean stock cats/y pipe with the whole catback exhaust as in resonator and muffler un bolted off ? And what are the specs on the welds ?
he mean stock manifold with cats/y pipe with no resonator and muffler, gt intake, ram air, welds, passenger seat and e85 tune
Well done, Mr. B 😎
I too just bought a new 2023 mine is identical but 2wd . I watched your manifold swap video and I’m very interested in doing the same . I was told to do that I had to buy the manifold spacers to make it work . I didn’t see you use those ? Help me lol
U don't need adaptors but the manifold has to be modified. Lol
@@flashabelhow hard is that modification? What exactly do you have to do?
"Nearly stock".. whats the list?
It's in the description.
@@ThatGuy-rf8de👊? what is a Tavomod mod?
@@19jody72 I think it's a ram air intake.
You did jump the dragy before it started. Just saying
Do you even own a dragy? It starts on its own.
@@robertdumond6554i didnt know, i dont own one so ig i shouldnt be talking. Just looked like there was a little bit of a lag between when he started moving and when it started counting.
