    Would this work as an adhesive for vinyl plank over vct tiles?

      Probable. Double check with the manufacturer first.

    New or old is the same. Stay with the grain, only do a strip 2' or 3' wide, move quick, keep your leading edge wet, over lap your leading edge. You can also water pop prior to staining.

      You should always leave an expansion gap. I did leave an expansion gap here. You just can't see it very well.

    Alot of pounding removing those boards. Why not use circular saw, 2 cuts down length in middle, much easier?

    No. This shoe moulding (not quarter round) is upside down. The longer/taller side of moulding should be along the wall. That's why that inside corner looks the way it does. That will never line up with next piece in the corner the way that 45 is cut.

    Excellent video thank you so much for breaking it down. Bought a house about seven months ago redoing a guestroom that is downstairs and also has VCT. I have actually done a good amount of VCT and the warning on the glue is funny to me. Even when you’re being survival somehow it gets in ya and then something else 😂

    The cleats and staples I'm having trouble installing . They either bunch up or break the tongue. I've tried 80 psi to 120 psi and lower psi seems to work but almost every plank has one or Two fasteners that break or bunch up.

    Ok i have a problem my floor is 2 different colors because they had a rug in the middle of the floor... the out side was stained but the inside was not... i sanded off the stain and its beautiful and light but the inside where the rugusedto be is darker and there is a spot or 2 where there is a pee stain... how do i match it up with outgoing dark.. i love the light color of the wood but im sad because its not all the same color... what can i do?

    • @DaneQueed420
      @DaneQueed420 Год назад

      You really need to sand the entire floor and re stain everything at once. Otherwise it won't match. The dark spots are tough, not much you can do except stain it dark to cover it up or have someone cut out and replace the individual boards which is a tricky process
