During a week in Mid July 2018, Spencerport campers ventured out into the wilds of the Spencerport Nature Center.
They spent the week learning how to navigate with a map and compass, safely use tools such as a knife, axe, and saw, start and manage fires responsibly, practice essential first aid skills, and build survival shelters.
Finally students learned about prehistoric cultures by taking part in experimental archeology by making an Atlatl, or an ancient spear throwing tool.
