Mam while defining centre of mass for a system with n particles ,you have taken summation of mass into velocity vector.Will that be summation of mass into radius vector. Pls mam kindly clarify.

I'm using the textbook from Nivaldo Lemos "Analytical Mechanics" (Cambridge university). Your course fits pretty well with this book too.
Why dr is independent of time in the expression of extension of hamilton principle. I am not getting this point can you please clarify?
