2:28 I was watching thinking "routine landing" until I noticed the windsock. This was a downwind (about 15 knots-worth, based on how the windsock is almost straight out) landing - meaning the landing was made at a faster ground speed than usual. Nice landing, flight crew!
Winds at Hemavan are tricky. We have a tailwind component limit of 10 kts for the Fokker 50 when landing. Windsocks at Hemavan can somtimes show 180 degrees opposite at both runway thresholds. :) Crew probably did windchecks with ATC all the way down to the runway to be sure. Nice spotted btw!
@@fromtheflightdeck The windsock at the other end (the start) of the runway can be seen at 2:07 and it's indicating a downwind landing as well, though it seems closer to a 10-knot tailwind than the windsock at the other end of the runway is indicating.

Nice approach and landing. I would have liked to hear the atc though. During the approach I thought it was a jet, but after landing while vacating you could hear the roaring of the props! An ATR-72 I guess, just like the other one there on the tarmac? What a long taxi, although when checking afterwards it only takes 5 minutes. :)

Det är lite gammal skåpmat som dammats av och laddats upp. Gör inte så mkt nytta hemma på hårddisken. Blir tyvärr inte så mkt variation. 🤠 Är dock nya filmer som inte laddats upp tidigare. Wilco and fly safe! 😎

I loved my three hour visit to Hemavan a couple years ago. Great, friendly staff at the terminal. I felt like I'd landed at someone's home, rather than an airport. And I visited only to fly Amapola's F50, LOL!
Hemavan and its airport + staff is very friendly! And a nice place to fly into. Hope you enjoyed the ride in the old lady. 😎🤠

It can be challenging, especially during winter operations with slippery runways in combination with the winds. It was a PopulAir flight, yes. 👍

Smooth as butter! I have experienced that approach and landing many times from the back, so it’s super nice to see it from the front and on such a lovely day. Never used that particular part of the terminal though, usually it’s T2 just a bit further or T5 at the other end.

I always fly with Amapola (aka populair) to lycksele airport because my grandma lives there. But seeing everything from the cockpit is an other level. I always planespott at the road before the runway so maybe I have spotted you flight😃

Usually only one runway used for start and one for landing. Different combinatiobs depending on noise and weather.

I'm _guessing_: Fokker F50. The sound while taxi'ing is like a propeller plane. The video poster has a merchandise shop where several of the products are about the F50. You can see another F50 parked straight ahead, at 13:30, just before the plane in the video makes the final turns before parking.

Är det bara kameran som gör att det ser ut som ni taxar väldigt fort! Är väl max cirka 20KT för taxi för F50 med? "turn and burn" 😁
Kameran lägger på ett par knop.. ;) Det är mest begränsningar på flygplatsen som brukar vara flaskhalsen vad gäller hastighet på taxi. ”Rask promenadtakt” är ett uttryck som florerat, men det tummas det på..
