A regular visitor to the water my garden in Thailand, this female Indochinese Blue Flycatcher is often quite vocal. I suspect the call she is making here is a contact call as she is often accompanied by a male bird.

The Asian Koel is a very common member of the Cuckoo family found in Thailand and other parts of SE Asia, India and China. Many people say it is the noisiest, most annoying bird they have ever encountered. Whenever they hear the call they are always reminded of their travels to the region.

Bulbul Bath Time features 4 species of Bulbul that are regular visitors to my garden in Phetchabun Thailand. Birds featured in the video are: 1. Streak-eared Bulbul 2. Yellow-vented Bulbul 3. Black-headed Bulbul 4. Black-crested Bulbul There is also a Malaysian Pied Fantail that gatecrashes the splash time on a number of occasions during the video.

Our local koel hangs out at this 100-year old white silk cotton tree surrounding by the entire neighborhood. Despite being in the middle of Bangkok, next to a train station, surrounded by a/c buildings, you could set your alarm to his call at 05.30 sharp. That is until he got older, I assume, because his call went from 05.30 to 04.00 to 02.00, and then I assume his successor took over and reset the cycle again at 05.30, and the cycle continues. Love it.

We have a similar Bird here in northern germany. The Austernfischer. Loud as heck, and shits everywhere. I hate those birds. And they have red eyes too!

After living in thailand for almost a year it was beautiful at first, then it became annoying if they started too early, too loud and too closeby... but after leaving whenever I hear their call I feel homesick again. They're fantastic creatures :D

For the tone deaf person who causes people of sarcasm, I sang at Lincoln center by the time I was nine so I am not tone deaf unlikevher. If you travel to SEVAsia this bird is extremely annoying. It doesn't shut up all day. Instead of motor mouth call someone this bird who has an annoying non stop voice. It's like listening to chandler bing's horrifically- voiced gf all day long or the Nanny.
