I held the new bodyguard today... my word is it tiny...
I have both and I like them both.
Did you use the wire included or did get new wire? If so, what type gauge wire did you use? Thanks
I didn’t use it. I had it hard wired to a 60 amp breaker, that way I can get full 48amps
Glock +p rated where the bodyguard is not
Don't need +p as long as 60 grain Black Hills Honey Badger ammo exists. Most lethal.
Great video. I have G42 and I am looking to get Bodyguard . Thanks for your comparison
Glad to help
amazing
I went with the Glock but I can’t talk bad about the 2.0 both greatv
That was pretty good. Now you need another son to do the audio ;)
that was adorable lol
Thanks so much for this. Did you mpunt it directly to your siding? Or some kind of mounting block?
They cut it out and mounted
I've got a heat pump, and I've got 8 wires coming out of the wall, that were hooked up to the existing/old Honeywell thermostat. With the ecobee premium instructions, i only see clear details on what to do with 5 of the wires... Any suggestions? I've looked & looked for a video of someone who has a heat bump, installing this ecobee premium, but have been unable to find an installation instruction video.
Call ecobee support, they’ll walk you through how to hook up. You can also send a picture of your current wire stepup

Ur recommendations are different from other Ecobee techs???????

I have this thermostat. And a 5 ton heat pump. But if i set to heat, are blows normal not hot. Its always on ext. 😊man my bills are high, im doing something wrong? Settings are not right? Or not wired correctly?
Sounds like wiring, if you call ecobee they’ll walk you through your wiring.
@@projectenergy thanks ill give it a try.
Have a good day/night. Always remember you are loved ❤
Thank you I couldn’t figure out how to change that setting for when the heat pump shuts off and Aux kicks on The installers set mine at -12 C and the damn gas furnace comes on all the time when it’s like -5 outside I changed mine to -17C to hopefully make the heat pump run longer before my gas comes on or it’s not worth it to me
Do they hook you up with anything? If they do how long does it take to get it?
No. Not long
Sweet
Did you get a new member package?
No.
Is there a rule of thumb on how much it cost to charge your Chevy Bolts on Level 3 DC charging ? For example is the Electrify America generally cheaper than using the Tesla Network even with the right TESLA-NACS /CCS adaptor, ( learning about the Chevy Bolt in preparation for a future 2017 Bolt purchase ) one thing I also don't know is can the rate charged differ between different county's or states ? here is a rare upload of some one demonstrating exactly that, which encouraged me to ask you this question: ruclips.net/video/Iedaqid61Bs/видео.html Tesla Super Charger to CCS Chevy Bolt with Magic Dock
I rarely charge other then at home with a year of ownership
Thanks for posting this video. We're looking to get an Emporia charger and hardwire it to our panel so we can use the full 48A. Did you use a 60A GFCI breaker or a 'regular' 60A breaker on your setup (the Emporia website says the charger incorporates its own internal GFCI so not to use a GFCI breaker) so your real-world experience would be appreciated. Cheers!
Pretty sure they used a non gfci breaker. It’s been working without issues for over 6 months.
Screen shaking is giving me motion sick . Good content though.
Great gun! Nice vidéo !
😉 'promo sm'
You did smart hardwiring the unit. Well, 48A is a must. The issue with Emporia is the plasticky feel to it. I am drawn more to Autel, at this time. The Emporia is much cheaper, no doubt. How is it working for you? Any issues to know?
So far it’s worked with zero issues, I don’t care for the way it hold the cable upright.
@@projectenergy You are not the only one saying it. I think, its a design mistake too. They might improve it or give an optional wall mount holder.
Hold up. You shot the Taurus tx22 in GSSF?
I'm looking to get into GSSF. I've never been
They have a best of the rest class, it’s separate on the same day.
@@projectenergy but is that a GSSF event or is that just specific to that range?
Did match nerves get the better of you, or do you normally shoot that fast at the match? It took me a while to learn to slowdown at indoor matches.
I shot way to fast, last month had a time violation last month. First time shooting the 43x too
In GSSF, accuracy always beats speed. Competing in matches gave me a new appreciation for GLOCKs and helped me become a better shooter. You’ll also meet some great people. Good luck at the match!
Awesome! Thanks for the great tip
@@projectenergy you’re welcome. If you’re not shooting the match with friends, or have anyone to show you the ropes, then when you get to the match, sign in and go to each stage and put your name on the list to shoot for each division you are shooting. After you’re signed in and have your name down at each stage for each division, go the the stage you want to shoot first and mark yourself as present and wait to be called. If the range is large and the stages are spread out, I leave my gear in the car until I’m all signed in, so I’m not humping gear all over the place. For me, starting with GLOCK’M, then moving to 5 to GLOCK and finishing on the plates always worked best. My logic was GLOCK’M had the closest (easiest) targets, so I could get warmed up there and work out any kinks before needing to make longer shots on 5 to GLOCK. I finish on the plates because that’s where I have a tendency to shoot too fast and want to get comfortable running my gun and doing transitions on the previous stages where I shoot slower. Additionally, if I happened not to be shooting well that day, I didn’t want to leave a plate standing and dwell on it for the rest of the match.
Practicing for a GSSF match?
Yes, couple more weeks.
@@projectenergy excellent. Good luck at the match.
how’s everything going?. Projectenergy, super. you uploaded amazing ~
Going well, hope you’re.
they cut that out because it was killing the stores wait times
Yea, that’s been cut out awhile but for some reason it was letting me checkin at the light that day. Only lasted a day 😂
So in away mode I have it set to 67 until 5pm. At 5pm it goes up to 72. It takes nearly a hour to bring back up to 72 degrees. Is it cheaper to run for 1 hr or would it be cheaper to have aux come on and heat back up to 72 in maybe 30 min? I have struggled with this ecobee since install. Family of 4 using on average 40-50Kwh per day total. Wimter bills running $170-240 Located in East Tn. 2100sq ft modular.
These thresholds will be the death of me I swear!
I think it depends on the outside temperature in my opinion. If it’s above 45 degrees then I think setbacks are worth it, but not much lower. I adjust the setbacks below that to only 1 degree.
Do you keep the door shut for the room your hybrid hot water heater is in? Just curious to know if the room provides enough room for the heat pump to work. I will be installing the rheem heat pump in a room of similar size. Thank you
I keep it shut, since the room off of it is heated/cooled
This would increase your home heating costs a bit in the winter since you’re taking heat out of the room to put into the water with the heat pump
Mine is in unfinished area of the basement, but winter is a little more usage. I’m currently at 817kwh for this year.

What made you but this model, or size ? I see too many people simply buy by price rather your water needs, ine ORIGINAL BRAND from GERMANY HAS THE LARGEST EXTERNAL CONDENSER, AS OPPOSED TO ONES IN USA, HYBRID,THE ORIGINAL ONLY HAS 1 SMALL RESISTANCE ELEMENT, WHICH HARDLY EVER COMES ON ,ALSO I HEAR NO NOISE COMPLAINTS IN EUROPE, BTW, FINALLY THERE IS. 1 MODEL OF RHEEM THAT DECIDED TO EMULATE THE GERMAN BRAND,BUT THEY STILL CARRY W LARGE RESISTANCE HEATERS LIKE A NORMAL ELECTRIC TANK MODEL, YES THE GERMAN BRAND STEIBEL ELECTRON,IS CARRIED BY HD, BUT ALSO COST MORE THAN RHEEM,,,🇩🇪🇩🇪🇺🇸🇺🇸
Replaced the previous one that was the same size
Nice presentation. Keep up the good work
Can someone please help me , my bill was 550 Two months in a row since installing my ecobee My neighbors is 173. Lol
Gas or electric
My temp is set for like 69 and it doesn't ever get to that temp it stays like couple of degrees colder. My heat runs a lot. Any help would be great
Review the graphs and see what it’s doing, depending on your outside temp you may have to adjust the auxiliary to come on to help it reach temperature. Otherwise you may need to have it serviced
@@projectenergy what is a good temp to have outside for the aux heat to come on at?? I have it set to 25 is that too cold??
Is it too loud to install near bedrooms?
I wouldn’t
Where do you live? I’m in Texas and I’m only getting heat upstairs but it’s super hot
VA
Thanks to you, I just installed my ecobee lite. Waiting to swap the hybrid water heater next month
Awesome
My primary heat is a heat pump with oil for auxiliary, problem is aux heat is not kicking on is there a setting in this stat I need To turn on for this to work
Probably wanna contact support on this, I’m not sure ecobee will support this as a backup auxiliary
I just installed mine yesterday and I noticed that the fan runs a long time after the heat pump outside cuts off.
Check the heat dissipation time. Mine is set to 30 seconds for heat. 0 for air
do you have to run a separate wire outside to the unit ?? if not then how does thermostat know compressor info and temp info for all those settings for the heat pump (aux) settings etc.... thanks
No. It’s controlled by the stat software, and some of board makes decisions. I simply unhooked my wires to the old stat and match them up to the ecobee. I did call support to make sure I had it correct.
@@projectenergy so if i understand correctly,,, say I want my aux. heat to come on when its 25 degrees outside along with the outside unit running too and go off before stat is satisfied (talking aux off) then it can do that??? and say i want the compressor to shut off when it gets below 20 degrees and aux heat take over 100% till temps warm up over 20 degrees it can do that too??? if so, hard to fathom it can do that without any more wires or sensors ran outside to accomodate the stats features/functions,,,,,, does the ecobee have "balance" setting like the nest?,, thanks 3 questions for ya,, thanks
@@mr.f.9134 yes to both, part of the first question no. If he comes on at 25 and runs say 5 mins and it thinks the heat pump can finish the heat cycle without the auxiliary, it’ll kick off and finish. Say six comes on and it think the heat pump can finish the cycle, but after the aux cuts off 20mins later it drops back below range it’ll engage auxiliary again.
@@projectenergy you think the ecobee 3 lite would be ok?,,, i dont need all the bells and whistles ,, plus need to keep better half happy im not spending over 200 bucks for a stat,,,, lol....
Yes. Check with your utility company they probably offer a rebate. I got $75 check so I only had to pay $75. Was on clearance at depot for $150.
Looks like good info, but I can't hear you.

@@projectenergy I'm wearing good noise cancelling over the ear headphones with the volume at 100%. All the other videos were almost too loud. Ahh well. I hope you're enjoying the benefits of your system.
@@PatrickKQ4HBD let me know if I can help
Does it respond to voice commands like "turn on the fan"?
It works just like a normal Alexa, it I don’t use the feature at all.
852.76 kWh for the year
I'd like one but my HWH is in the garage and it's electric as well BUT there is no floor drain. so I guess I'd have water all over my garage is that correct?
Being in the garage would be great in the summer time. It puts off great amount of air, the floor drain would be easy to install or just run outside.
The unit creates condensate as it runs. If your water heater is located near an exterior wall, you should be able to run the drain line through the wall. Adding a floor drain will be more work, especially if you are on a slab foundation.
The CDC recommends, you set the water heater to 120 at least. This is to prevent bacteria from forming, Legionnaires' disease.
The temp reaches 135 or more while heating
@@projectenergy exactly. Some people think they know things that they don’t 🤷♂️
