I remember watching this film on tv when I was about eight years old and it scared me stupid. Watched it again years later and I've loved it ever since. The phrase " it's in the trees, it's coming" was used by Kate bush at the beginning of Hounds of love.

Truly, a movie that was ahead of its time and is often under-appreciated.

Saw it in a cinema when it came out and I was 12. One of the first modern horror films I'd seen, I found it terrifying. If I was camping anywhere and saw this "just a mutant bear" around, I'd never go camping again! Also thought I'd mention that Armand Assante was in this!

This was one of the first movies I ever saw as a kid. My mom took us to the drive-in to see it. Double feature with the Manitou.

I saw it at the movies when I was a kid. I liked it and still enjoy it. I must add that it's a monster movie, stop overthinking it.

This movie was on late night TV when I was a kid in the 80's and it scared the sh*t out of me lol

I saw it upon its release in 1979 and again on video rental a couple of times. It suffers a bit from the fact that the monster mayhem i held off until the last half hour. The monster was played by Kevin Peter Hall, who would later play the predator.

So this is my review of this review. This reviewer has no real knack for reviewing movies or at the very least doesn't have a good grasp on plot structure. He has a very monotone way of talking and is so repetitive in just repeating the same thing over and over. He literally starts the review just saying over and over how it's a problem with expecting one thing and finding out the movie is something you didn't expect...which is your fault...not the movies. He mentions he was expecting a Rosemary's baby movie...which is stupid since it never claims to be that at all. The movie was always a creature feature about the mutation of nature. I really like this movie which is a classic from early days of horror and has a very unique take on a creature made from man's mistakes. He seems to think Talia Shire is supposed to be a bigger part of the movie than she was...like she was meant to be an Ellen Ripley character or something....which is not ever been the case. He also doesn't seem to comprehend the scenes with the effected animals leading up to seeing the main creature which set up the cause of the mutations,, so I question if he is even paying attention. So basically, I'm not surprised that he has almost no views or likes because the review is lackluster and boring and gives no real insight into the movie. But that's my review on this review. I'd say don't waste your time and I'll see you next review.

Looks fun - have to check this out someday

I was twenty-eight when this came out and Debi Mazar was 32 and the most beautiful thing I thought I had ever seen.

Not all of these films are made for western audiences. When I watched this with my kids many years ago, we did raise our eyebrows but still enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this as a teen. Pretty entertaining for the time. Years later when I saw Grant in 4 Weddings, my first thought was "oh the guy from White Worm". So it was definitely memorable on some level.

Been a fan of RE since the early years in the 90s, but contrary to the popular mentality to hate on this film, I actually really like Vendetta. It's such a joy that Chris finally makes his cg film debut, alongside Rebecca (though I'm tired of the damsel trope in this series in particular).

When i saw the trailer back then i thought: cool cinematography, cool fighting, the vibe made me think Neverending Story for some reason, buuuuuuut when I actually went to the theater to watch it…. Meh, not so much. I don’t remember shit about the actual film though :D

Just finished this on Shawscope Vol 2. Love this film and it being a sort of sectional staff origin. Totally agree that end fight leaves much to be desired. As soon as they dropped the weapons, it felt like the hand-to-hand was getting more serious. Overall, loved it.

It has Time Travel! I think "A Chinese Odyssey" also influenced the Doctor Who revivals in 2005, you can see it in the elements of the drama and angst of a time traveling reincarnating god-like being having to sacrifice personal love to fulfill his fate to save the universe. There's a scene in the end of Journey's End episode that is very similar to the end of Part 2 of the movie

Winners and sinners i thoroughly enjoyed. My and twinkle are both really good though.

I think if Return To Oz had been made in a different time like the early 2000s which was the time of The Lord Of The Rings And Harry Potter the film wouldn’t be deemed too scary for kids and they could have done an film series based on The Books because the books were very dark

I’m lucky and that this was at my video store back in like 2004-2005 my dad and I were hooked on it and we watched them together. These movies remind me of me and my dad because I saw my dad’s Lonewolf.

this snake and crane movie is one of the best martial arts movies ever. the fight scenes are done in great style.

I watched this last night and it was bringing back so many good memories. It’s so over the top and bad it’s good. Komodo literally was the best part of the whole movie

Part 3 is up there with the first film for me. Lam ching ying is always great Richard ng hilarious. An the villians are pretty cool in this one
