Nice fall man!!
Thanks! Haha, I wish I went for next hold, maybe I could have stuck it.
You didn't fall so how did you test it hehe.
Haha, it's more of a testing for the belayer than actually falling on it 😅
how the hell is this 6a+
It's hard to gauge from the video, but I think I agree with that 6a+ grade
Awesome job. And congrats on hitting 300 subs
Thanks so much!
Fun fact, this was set for catagory age 8-12 in a youth competition
Haha, thanks for crushing my ego further 😅 Honestly, kids are amazing at climbing!
climb higher and fall! it gets easier
Haha, thanks! I don't feel it ever gets easier 😅
good climb, whats the device u clipped in the first quickdraw? I've climbed in quite a few gyms but I never seen someone use it
It is called ohm. You can use it when the belayer is lighter than the climber to increase rope drag and reduce the weight difference.
Thanks! That device is Edelrig Ohm 2. We use it to equate the weight difference between climber and belayer.
Good! But try really hard to clip with straight arms and hips into the wall
@Ottilieee Thanks! I always clip when I feel secure and that not always translate to straight arms, but I try
I have a fear of falling, but I have almost overcome it what I find good for practising is doing a small fall and each time climb one hold higher above the last clip so you’re falling slightly more each time it does really work because it builds the amount very slowly, also for fall practice what actually works is trying hard roots that you will fall off on and just try your hardest on them until you fall. Also, you have to try super hard to get over the mental block because for me, I have to think to myself that even if I fall or clip fall and it’s really scary, it’ll be it will still be okay petty much no matter what so yeah, that was just some tips. Hope it helps.
Oh and also if you’re scared to keep going just think each move counts to just try to take it one move at a time and then before you know it you’re finished the climb
Oo and I know it’s easily done, but you have to literally not look at the grade because my usual on site is like a 6B but the other day I almost did a 7B so really just don’t even check the grade before you climb just if it looks fun climb it, even if you think it looks too hard
Another tip if you’re finding stuff hard, always look for possible higher feet and always keep your hips and shoulders almost touching the wall or as close as you can get them to the wall
What climbing gym are you at? Is it a Parthian or it it somewhere else? 😊
@@Ottilieee it's Big Rock Hub and Bond. Thanks for all the good advice!
G❤❤❤g❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
@ You wellcome🙂❤️
Hey, good job on the video and the climb! It's good that you have pushed and made it to the top! That's the spirit! One note though, your right foot placement on 1:03 is quite sketchy in an event of you falling there's some chance of this foot hitting the rope/quickdraw and flipping you over which is quite dangerous. To avoid that try to avoid placing your foot between the rope and the wall and instead focus on having your "on top" of the rope - wall -> rope -> leg. :)
Thanks! I try to put my feet outside the rope always but this time I see I missed it..
just so you know that's called a dihedral and the opposite is an arete. Good job nonetheless
Thanks! It's good to know a corner has another name like an edge can be also called an arete
Big Rock Bond❤
Love Big Rock Bond and Hub ❤
You got this. I have bailed too.
Thanks! That's a really hard 6a!
sick wall dude! where is this at ?
Big Rock in MK
nice work. would try to avoid clipping so close to or above your head. Waist to shoulder region is recommended. (I've had some big whippers from clipping high and missing.)
Thanks! I do try to in that's region or where I feel comfortable to clip. Sometimes, the head game is out and not on the ball, though.
Nice job! Just out of curiosity, what values does your watch show after your climb?
Thanks! I track the number of routes and the grades, but it also shows you stats like total climb time; total, avg and max ascent; number of sends; avg and max heart rates and more that I never look at 😅
Nice climb. But i think its a bad habit to start biting the rope to clip i have seen some videos of bad injuries from falling well its in your mouth. I would try to minimize the amount of times you bite the rope.
Thanks! Yeah, I try to avoid this if I can, sometimes I just forget myself though... Also, I am not biting on the rope, only just lightly holding it with my lips (should prevent me from loosing teeth if worst would happen)
@@BetterEveryWeekForever Aim for clipping at between chest and hip height. Easier clips and minimizes risk och ground falls.
@sverkerolofsson7123 Absolutely! Always do, just not always happen 😅
I also have a fear of falling. Each time when I begin a lead session. I always take a small lead fall.
Yeah, that always helps me to get my psyche unlock

I like watching these videos, gives a prespective of what climbs look like in other countries at this skill level.
@@RobiWizard I do like watching other climbers and myself to get better. Thanks!
There's seriously people filming themselves climbing 6a+ indoor routes ? Use your time and ressources for more useful things please.
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
would like too see you try🤣 not anybody can do 6a+
Nice legs
Hahah, thanks I guess 😅
Looks more like a 4c for me.
It was really easy, I admit that!
Ice job. Stemming is scary for me
Thanks! Absolutely it is super scary, to the point that my legs start to shake...
That route looks pretty cool. I like it when they differ a bit from the usual straight up.
Yes, it was pretty cool, especially the transition to the left. I do like that variety in it.
These particular ones were 20s each with 45s rest in between (walk).
How long to you hold the max speed in the stride repeats?
Nice job I had a similar route yesterday. Almost got the flash. I had to calll for a take.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome work. You have some great belayers. I’ve upgraded to the Petzl Neox. It feeds so smoothly
Thanks! I so want to try the neox!
🎉
I didnt see were you almost failed it. Looked like you climbed it nice.
Hahaha, thanks, but last two holds I have barely hold onto... I was way more pumped than I care to admit for a 6a climb 😅
😊
O super że oglądasz!
Great climb man! Made it look effortless
Thanks a ton!
I am on 6a to but I can’t do lead climbing, nice job though
Thanks! You can switch to lead with some experienced lead climbers and practice it on easier climbs
Nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
hey! first off great ascent man better every week starts to seem like less of a name but more of a way of life! im a bouldering type of guy so i haven't lead climbed yet though i did try some top rope 6a and it seemed harder than this lead climb so is top rope grades harder because you dont need to handle the rope or is my gym sandbagging? perhaps im just not that good so watching better climbers climb it seems easier... anyway would like someone to tell me which of these seems the most right to him and i hope to see more amazing climbs!
Figured I'd give my opinion as I've stumbled across this. From my experience, the gym I climb at grades top rope (technically bottom rope but whatever) and lead the exact same as far as I am aware. This is because you can technically top rope any of the lead climbs, you just have to lead up the easiest on the line and screw it in at the top and unclip as you come down and voila, you now have setup a top rope line. It's very possible your gym is sandbagging however it can be hard to judge the difficulty of a climb without feeling the holds. Looking at this climb on the video, I'd say it looks fairly typical of a 6a I'd see, maybe the some of those holds are a lil smaller than would be expected though. Tbf, take what I say with a pinch of salt, I only really lead things I find "comfortable" so haven't touched past a 6b yet with them
Thanks a lot! The grades in my experience are very subjective and depend on the route setters and their strengths plus your own strengths. The top rope climb will feel easier for the same grade cause you do not need to clip the rope but only from the endurance point of view. The technical difficulty of the climb remains the same for both top rope and lead. Grading system is not perfect and I just take it as a general guide of how hard the climb might be. Keep at it and be better every week forever! (you're right it does become a way of life at some point xD).
@@trufflesnuffle3108 thanks for the input! appreciate your time and effort and i agree with you totally
The amount of cameras and music choice makes it pretty hilarious 😂
Dunno what you're talking about 😅
I am on 5C
That's good! Keep climbing and get better every week forever 😅
Overhanging routes sure are a different beast. For roofs like that I at least memorized to bring my feet up as much as I can before progressing in the route, that helped good bunch.
Haha that's right! I'm always getting out of breath with these, I guess I just use a lot of power to climb it😅
awesome job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
i cant wait to be able to lead climb need to pass my belay test before though i got to the first clip on a 7c+ be interested to see how far i could get up it
Awesome! Good luck with the test!
This does look fun.
It was fun and very easy climb.
awesome job. My gym has lead that start off as a regular climb and the last part is all slab. Some of it can be quite sketchy. 😂
This one was insanely hard
wdym, these holds at straight angles, 6a+ my ass
Yeah, it did feel a bit soft for a 6a+, more of a 6a I guess
goood work brother
Thank you so much 😀
Your dedication and drive are admirable, but I would advise to do some more bouldering before leading stuff like the yellow one in the beginning. Lead is more about endurance and finding good positions to clip the rope from than getting better technically. On the other hand good lead climbing demands to be technically sound in order to find good clipping positions and be safe. An early fall can be quite dramatic for your ankles. Still, thanks for the upload, I think it will be beneficial for a lot of people to watch.
Thanks a lot! This was part of the competition climbs, so I was extra motivated.
You know, I live in Gangetic belt and it is so plain that I am not able to do the hill run at all. There are some road bypasses but they are so busy that I do not dare to go.
Those corner climbs (dunno if that is actually the proper term in English) always turn out interesting. And usually way easier on the second go.
Yes, I agree. Once you know what to do it becomes way easier. I really liked this one.
Awesome job!!!
Thank you so much! This was very nice climb indeed!
1:51 hey, that was yellow!
Haha, my bad! It looked white from the top😅 must have been loads of chalk
