That floral cover on your Bible notebook is STUNNING! I really enjoyed this video and hearing your thoughts and reasoning for your system, and it was encouraging to hear that your preference and style of bookkeeping changed over time too. It helps me recognize that I don’t have to (and won’t!) get it perfect right away! And something that works now may not work for me later on. I love the idea of being able to find things more easily by separating the subjects into different books, but I find I need to write things on the go, and I’m too busy/lazy to transfer from a single book into multiple at this point - so I’m working on finding a way of organizing the information that works for me 😅 for now my commonplace book is a bit of a messy random catch all space 😬 it’s a work in progress to be sure!

Love your negative spaces it makes the pages look so much more inviting. Such a beautiful kind message to share. I have tried using negative spaces but I just fill up the page so much or there is nothing on the page. I appreciate your invitation to ok with the blank pages. I guess they too have their own story to tell. I have gone with A6 for next year but I plan to keep a work and personal journal so I’m hoping that since two Original pages equal a Cousin page I will be fine. I want to be more focused about what I learn about myself and for myself from my work day. My professional development will be clearer. I work in mental health so I learn so much from the amazing inspiring people I get to work with. It’s time I start seeing that in myself and hearing the kind words of appreciation I get. That's a great video! I really needed that because I'll be using An A5 for the first time next year and despite the excitement, I still has little doubts, but you're right it's okay if we have some empty pages or pages without much decorations

Wow, this was such a lovely and refreshing flip through to watch! I've been doing a very maximalist approach to decorating my Cousin but deep down I'm anxious if I can keep it up through next year too. Especially cause I'm adding a Weeks to my system as well (I don't need the Weeks cause the Cousin does it all for me - but I couldn't resist the beautiful cover). I love your approach! The negative space looks gorgeous and has a luxurious calm to it. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I sure a Benu fountain pen to write in my hobonichi, and never have a problem with the drying time. I don’t like the TWSBI for that because they are a wet nib, and the drying time is too long, like you have experienced. Try a Benu! They are beautiful pens!
