@@ThomasEdward Don’t know the details but it was clean and freshly done, as you say there were quite a few others parked up. We used to ride scruffier in-service Northern Rail Pacers from Picaddilly to Edale to meet friends coming from Sheffield for a January / February pub hike, so it was fun to do a similar thing around Bedale ! I had a Co-op meal deal lunch on the bench outside the shop in the market square…

Nope aircon of this period would have different look to the panel with two smaller knobs but they both come apart the same way! The later cars had digital aircon controls

A fascinating and informative video Thomas.
There were long sections of water troughs before Mochdre (Pronounce "r"), Nr. Colwyn Bay. These troughs were opposite Sandy Cove Halt and the Station, adjacent to Morfa Ave., between Kinmel Bay and Towyn (Abergele). These troughs remained until well into the diesel era.
