Love the blue tac holding the connector! I’m going to have to steal that idea for sure!! 🍻
Nice video. Keep iron tip clean and tinned with fresh solder. Use 60/40 tin/lead rosin core solder and rosin paste flux ( Don't use "lead-free" solder and fluxes) Use iron with big tip and 50 watt or higher to get job done quickly and avoid damage to connector bodies. Good soldering requires practice and observing proper solder flow. (Old soldering instructor butting in!)
Now I want to fly..again, someday.....thanks for the vids...
I want you to fly again too.
Cool...Let's go boating....
As soon as you giggled and said holy fawk, i paused the video and ordered one hahaha, thanks for doing what you do and being you bud!!!!!
Hi. Have you tried this on 4s? thinking of making 5000-6000mah lithium ion pack from 18650s. Thanks
It has way more power than it needs on 3s. I would not worry about adding more voltage to it. It would probably fly perfectly on 2s.
I love the reaction when it first flys !!😂
Dude. Toss the thing! LOL Definitely limp wristing it.
i have one and the hardest part is launching for me rolling start is better
Thanks for the vid. Im new to this and want to purchase everything in one shot as Im in Guam. What remote do u recommend? Is there anything else needed other than the HK kit & remote?
Is there anybody in your area that flies RC planes? If so, I would probably recommend getting a radio of the same brand that they are using so that they can help you setup your planes. I use a Radiomaster TX16S. It is by far the most feature packed radio you can get for the price. The downside is, that the operation system is not very intuitive until you’ve played with it for a while. There is almost no aircraft that I can just bind to and start flying. There is always something that needs to be set up or reversed on my outputs. Spectrum is the brand most people use because it works well and has many models pre-programmed. You just don’t get as much radio for your money, kind of like an IPhone. Flying stuff is a difficult hobby to get into successfully. Find some people around you that can teach you.
breaklines should be a little bit longer.your paramotor seems to stall .
I’d agree with you, except that there is literally slack in the lines when it is in the air. The first 10% of my stick throw causes no movement on the wing. I thought about making them even a little shorter. I really don’t know though. I feel like I need to be smoother with my throttle input.
Just got mine in the mailbox today... Assembly is 80% done... Watching your vid I think I'm gonna run with it a little bit once the wing is inflated, to give it a little momentum... Same way you throw a glider... Thanks for the vid brother
I’m stoked for you. They are super fun to fly. There is definitely a learning curve, just stick with it. Let me know how it goes.
@bushythebird it ain't starting right since i just figured that my Spektrum DX6I doesn't have the right kind of mixes to make it fly 😭... I could unearth the old Futaba FF9 but just remembering some easy programming with this Nasa inbreed thing is giving me some headache already... Gonna try to find a old DX7 Gen 2 for sale for cheap..
at 8:33 you hit your own wake, thats why it collapsed. You should gently pump left brake, this will open the wing tip. I still have original HK wing from 2019, it was really cool. Definitely need to get back to the rc stuff.
Sick trick! Thanks for the advice. How much throttle should be applied in a situation like that? It is definitely one of the coolest RCs I own.
great thank you for the video that is really helpful thanks mate
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
cool shit man...
Thanks. I’ll learn to launch it properly one day.
Good vid bud. I tied mine off about 30inch and yes HK did a crap job on setting up. You do need some light wind to keep the sail open. 50 to 55 percent throttle on take off is good. Its all trial error. I took it the otherday and it was dead calm and i couldnt get it to launch, waited bit for a light breeze and it got up. Also watch your video and you will see how your good launches looked. Thanks again bud.
Even my “good” launches were pretty sketchy, haha. I feel like I need to commit and give it more throttle at the beginning of the launch. I’ve just been afraid to stall it I guess, but I also guess that stalling is probably better than throwing into the ground repeatedly. Hahaha.
@@bushythebird I know what you mean if you dont get it to launch it does hit the ground hard. I find alittle wind maybe around 5 to 6mph is good. Keep it up
Hey bud alot of ppl want to know what the knot tie off for the steering Im getting alot of request. so what did you pull the brakes down to? they say 32inch what is yours set at???

Awesome
I agree. Super fun.
hi ya you said you adjusted the brake line loose how much longer did you go than the standard recomended knot as i am really strugling to get my to fligh its doing my head in that i have left it out of the way so i dont throw it hahahahaha. any advise would be great thank you

@@bushythebird perfect thanks for the video mate really help full hopefully I can fly the thing lol
I'm going to have to get one of those. You did the wildest flying of all the videos I watched. Funny I just heard of this thing a week ago.
Thanks. I got real crazy with it about 10 minutes into the flight, but my wife was trying to watch me fly rather than recording. I don’t blame her. They are 300% worth the money. Especially if you have a 3s battery kicking around for an RC car. Honestly, I don’t think it needs 3s. I feel like everything I did could have been accomplished on 2s and it probably wouldn’t have been as sketchy.
I noticed that on mine also when i would turn it wouldnt turn goodl so how much more than what they say to tie off the knots to do you think you did?
I'll measure them at some point soon. Basically, I hung the rig upside down with it powered on at Zero trim and tied the knot at the point where there is no slack in the brake lines.
@@bushythebird sounds good I still would post how much more you went past what they say. bc with what they say it barely turns.
@@bushythebirdgreat advice !!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
@@bushythebird curious the change also
programm 3 throttelcurves on a 3 way switch. 30% for start , 50% normal fly and 100 % power fly. it will be much better to start.
I like that. Way more resolution on takeoff. Great idea. I’m doing something like that for sure. Maybe 35% for takeoff? It would be nice to have a little extra power on tap.
I just got mine last week, I set my brake lines to the length that that was mentioned in the guide, and it did the same thing that yours did at first, it was not responsive to the right or left controls. Which resulted in it crashing and cutting the brake line from the prop, hobby king needs to fix their manuel, because I’m sure a lot more going to have issues with this.
@@ZachPap I just tied mine so that any movement of the arm would start to pull some brake. I might have got lucky. It’s super fun once you have control of it though.
Amazing advice thank you for this your a lifesaver!!!!!!!
@@bushythebird I’m in to take note of this during my set up
