Thanks for checking out my channel! Here’s some basic information -
Siren enthusiast located in the Twin Cities area.
Upload times are not consistent. I may upload once every 2 months, once every 6 months, once every year, etc. It just depends on when I have a siren recorded or something to upload. Other than that I am active on RUclips multiple times a week, so if you have any questions feel free to reply on one of my videos.
The publish dates are the day I recorded them, unless noted otherwise in the description.

Another low effort video for this month, although it turned out a lot better than I anticipated. Completely missed the alert, but oh well. Thunderbolt can be heard a little bit as well.

Siren - Thunderbolt 1000T Port - 4/5 Location - Minnesota From the sounding off of my 4/5 port Thunderbolt back in August of 2018. The blower was manually being turned by a tractor, so that's why it might sound funky at times.

(Apologies for the person in the video, not me!) Test of my 4/5 port Thunderbolt with an A1 (6M) series blower. We were using a tractor to get the blower going so it wasn't doing the work by itself.

Do you know which sirens were and weren’t scrapped?
@@Finnfam1 That’d be a bit tricky to figure out, but the guy I bought this from had a few more white Thunderbolts laying in his backyard which I assume were other Minneapolis Thunderbolts. I know there’s an ex-Minneapolis Thunderbolt that was fully refurbished and is now set up in Georgia, there’s a few videos of it on RUclips.

After doing some heavy research I have found that the blower you got is actually from the Thunderbolt that sat atop Thiele Technologies. The rust patterns on the cover line up and someone has the head which has the same serial number
Interesting! I knew the blower was from a different unit ever since somebody pointed out that the serial numbers are different. How’d you find out? Very curious. Also curious on who has the head.

Blower and head are from 1958
This is a 1954 unit this was manufactured by Federal Enterprises so the whole unit which are the head and blower it’s not 1958 it’s 1954

That must’ve been a custom controller that had this tone or it was programmed into a UV. It now does chimes

4/5 over where I live is still doing pretty strong, nice to see the 4/5 over by you still works. Always nice to hear a 4/5 every once in a while.
The Zombies are coming kind of funny remark after the Test ends I wonder how long will the Thunderbolt last being weathered and showing rust and the effects of heat and cold are hard on the steel but I also wonder if the city could allow the school to paint it Maroon and Gold and put the M on it instead of the white color it has had over the decades

Not yet! I think they'll leave it there honestly. There's a reason they didn't take it down, and I'm unaware of that reason.

Probably not anytime soon. It’s essentially disassembled in storage but I do hope to possibly do something with it this upcoming summer, but that’s assuming I have a lot of free time. One day it’ll be brand spankin’ new!

There’s a ton of Thunderbolts still in MN. This just happens to be the only remaining one of the old Minneapolis system.
I guess the 4/5 Thunderbolt 1000T isn't gonna replaced this time. I'm sure if that thunderbolt will keep it for ever. Which also if the 4/5 will repainted.

They did, they just weren’t working properly.
Its a "Roots" blower, same thing they put on drag/race car engines! Yes!, very healthy!
Your lucky the very deep vibrational effect of the sound output of the siren did not cause movement of your device on the ground I wonder what is done to keep it sounding so well I know the blower has to be greased occasionally to keep the belt running smoothly
