I knew the second super on this project. He told me the owner was so particular that when the windows came in the tint wasnt right or something and he rejected the order (after waiting a long time for them) then waited all over again for the right ones to come. That amongst many other little facts about the home. Weird how youtube's algorithm sent this video my way.

Based on the sentiments expressed in the comments section, I'm definitely going to be the odd man out here [what else is new], but... That is the ugliest "historical" home I have ever seen. I don't even know where to start. Did anyone involved in this project bother to study a single castle for architectural reference, or were they just channeling memories of summer visits to Disneyland? The drywall-clad interiors look like somebody decorated a contemporary home for Halloween. While its not lacking for the occasional nicely-appointed pieces of furniture, the building itself - from ridiculously low ceilings with canned lighting in the dining room [SERIOUSLY???] to the ghastly unfinished concrete exterior, complete with faux-damage distressing that looks bad compared to the lowest of low-budget amusement parks, to the spectacularly bad crenellations capping the towers... I am slack-jawed to think that Mr. Mark looked at the blueprints for this travesty and said - "Perfect! How much??" $35 million was enough to have constructed a modern historical fantasy masterpiece. Instead... he built... this. It's a wonder his daughters didn't run away from home -
