You can always get two of the 15-20s and clip them together if she’s doing well and wants more space to run. I thought my velcro girl would stick right next to me but the second she realized the beach was fun, she consistently hit the end of her 30 foot leash and I had to hustle to make sure she had the freedom to play.

At 4 months, it's very likely that's what's going on ;) Start watching for her to spit out teeth on the floor, and if you see her chewing on something but she doesn't have a toy, she's probably working on getting a tooth out! You use it like a handle to hold on to. It's closer to the dog so if you're using it, the leash is effectively shorter, giving you more control, better communication with your dog, or can simply be used to keep the loose leash from smacking into your dog while walking. There's tons of ways people use a traffic handle, but most people use it for safety reasons.

Mine was a 12 hour drive home with my pup. It's long, but let me tell you, the bonding was elite. She imprinted so hard because we had 12 hours of nothing but snuggling. Best wishes on your drive!!

Grab a phone mount and set your phone on it on the ground. Then engage your dog in play. When you aren't holding the phone, they forget it's there and play with you and you casually direct them over in front of it (and either be in the video or stand just off camera and reach in/out to keep playing while also getting the video!)

Fantastic suggestion! I've always used the high pitched noise strategy and it's been fantastic for dogs and babies/small kids hahaha

@@kmrobinsonpups Yes! I've had springers my whole life! Currently without a pup, but I'm moving onto a good chunk of land, so I've been on the lookout for a new pup. Not sure if I want to go show or field lines. I love the dopey nature of show line springers, but something about the crackhead energy that comes with field lines holds a special place in my heart lol

I mean...I have two. And my previous dogs were bio sisters a litter apart. So I'm just saying...sounds like you have space for one of each over the next few years lol
