Whats Luke run for a rod/reel set-up for throwing TB burners, squeeky girls, showggirls, small bucktail, etc.????
For this he was using the 10' Stealth Heavy for the bucktails, but when they have a 7/0 hook he prefers the 10' Stealth XH to dig the hooks in better. Daiwa Prorex in a 7:1:1 or a Lexa TW in the same gear ratio for the reel.
I moved a fish right where you got that first bite last weekend.

NIce Hog, we used to use slay them on large custom Rob Dey Spinner baits like what your using back in the 90's. Also great results trolling them in the slop.
And that’s one reason I went ultrex. 🤣
It wasn't the ultera that was the issue. His battery didn't charge over night and it died. We went back and grabbed the other one in the truck.

Luke: You're beating the banks with bucktails in June. If you're fishing Crow in late September or October, would you shift tactics to deeper open water and maybe do some trolling? I did a 1 week trip to Musky Bay with M.I. Twin Cities chapter back in 02, at that time of year. Had motor problems and didn't catch a muskie.

Not rude at all! Luke had one in perspective going off of his trolling motor. He saw a couple on perspective while fishing spots, but we never caught one that he marked

Do you use a wire leader or just tie to the braid?
Always some sort of leader! Sometimes wire and sometimes fluorocarbon depending on the bait, but always a leader and never tied directly to braid.
Love that Luke kept the broke windshield! Gives it character!

Luke: "What on earth was that?" That, Luke, is what is known as a "Quick Release." That happens when you don't hook the fish at all. You have a quick release. 😂 I mean, you're going to release it anyway, right? So who cares if you release it before you net it? 😊😂
