Sounds great. But I think the guitar was out of tune around 11:48.

I was on the fence between an Ibanez Prestige and this Charvel. I went with the latter and boy howdy I have never been so glued to my instrument. I have been playing acoustic almost exclusively for 8 years and I was able to cross over fairly easily.

I'm thinking about building one of these "Floyd rose style". For around $650. Maybe H&S configuration. I like HSS too. And 24 fret preferably. But all the available necks are 22 fret. I love building my own masterpiece of a guitar.. I've done it a few times now and they all turned out good. It's a hobby and passion. But got to get a charvel one way or another.

The “tele-mode” really sounds like a lap steel. Very cool and versatile.

Agree with a lot of your comments. You don't need 24 frets, but the position it puts the 21st and 22nd fret is key. The floating/non locking trem is killer too. Not a fan of Floyd Rose. Just never liked the tone. Always preferred an original strat trem.

To be exactly, it's still a Strat, but a Custom at the same time...

What I like: Roasted Charvel neck profile w/ Rolled fingerboard, Non locking Gotoh Tremolo. What I don't like: 24 frets screwing up neck pos. single coil, It's freaking PINK. Smurf Blue? No color choices... Discontinued DK22 Pharaoh Gold? (The only reasonable color)
