I'm 81 yrs old my mother began her record collection in the 30's. I'm so glad you have an appreciation for😊what I like to call American Classical music. If Plasire Da Amore is coinsidered classical then why shouldn't As Time Goes By be considered a modern classic? I like what you've put you put together but there are some original recordings that are still better than later recordings. Almost any thing by Al Bowley because he has a pleasant tone and superb phrasing. The Maurice Chevalier piece stands by itself in that it has a historical view that has never been replicated. There is a section where Chevalier mentions "Having children is a duty they owe to France_(a bit wistful and sad".). Remember the generation that was lost in WWI and they and the rest of the world were about to lose another generation.

Soap Operas yes, but you name it she could accompany it. Retired NBC News personality Don Blair sits down with Rosa as she talks and demonstrates her little musical improvisational expressions that she always had at the ready for often 6-8 live radio programs a day. About the Hammond X-66 Organ Rosa is playing: In the interview Rosa is playing the 1967- 1972 Hammond X-66 organ. It's fancy, but the drawbars are no different than the same 1940 Hammond organ she played during her career. Watch video- ' Legendary Theatre Organist ' at the 41 minute mark for a 1938 Paramount film short showing the remarkably simple electromagnetic tone wheel in action. The Hammond organ has 91 of these tone wheels. Now the X-66 Rosa plays in the interview has two extra draw bars, 11, as compared to the 9 on the normal Hammond organ. [ 4 complete sets of draw bars are two for upper keyboard and two for the lower keyboard . The reverse color black and white keys on the far left octave are actually PRESETS]. SAVE THE ORGANS... The 'Organ Forum' is the spot for all electronic organ. Millions were made and they need homes. Orphaned organs can be had for next to nothing. After listening to Rosa, you just might get the organ bug! And live longer, as organ lowers the blood pressure and sooths the soul! The 1986 Electronic Organ Bluebook pdf on Internet Archive , and Jan Giradot's Electronic Organ List shows all makes/models, and the 'Tone Generation' type. The Tone Generators are the heart of the organ. Of course now organs are digital. See ytb- *Dennis Awe - Sentimental Journey* for a modern digital organ (2008 Lowrey Stardust). You'd be surprised at how many people inherit these multi thousand dollar incredible organs and just want them gone. I got my Lowrey Stardust for four hundred and fifty dols. Certainly a rare bargain, but I literally have a collection of bargains. This does not happen with guitars. Believe me. lol I've been playing guitar twice as long as organ.

You have great tastes! I grew up in the 70's and didn't discover 1930's pop music until I flew a lot and it was on the TWA headphones music selector that we plugged the air tube headphones into. Pax41 Music Time Machine , is a great ytb ch. I made a playlist of my favorite records of the 30's pre-swing era entitled: *Some of the best pax41 uploads in my 'umble opionion!* Check out Frances Day- all is great, but I love this one especially- Frances Day 1932 Savoy Hotel Orpheans 2reeler ytb ch is great. I play organ and am a big Jesse Crawford fan. He single handedly created theatre organ technique. He heard a woman swoon in the audience when he accompanied movies. He realized she swooned every time he played a glissando. So he spent afternoons before the matinee perfecting and expanding the technique. a technique used all over 1930's music by vocalists as well. Watch ' Legendary Theatre Organists'. I also made some Jesse Crawford playlists on my channel. I write about his working for Hammond organ later and his great instruction. Two Hammond albums to demonstrate his range, I uploaded : Jesse Crawford Poet of the Organ , and Jesse Crawford Remembering with Anne Stockton harp accompaniment. You'll love Gunhild Carling ch. She is 'The Swing Queen of Sweden' and is true to the music, She posts her music live in San Francisco, but do watch her as an 8 year with her family band in Sweden in 1984 first. And notice her father anounce the first tune is Gunhild by so and so. So obviously Gunhild's name sake. vid> Carling Family 1984 - Polish television (part 1) - Gunhild Carling- COOLING’S JAZZMEN She has an amazing story and ytb ch and is an incredible horn player and singer. She thrives on several instruments and now her own children and neighbors play as a band, but also returns to Sweden often and her siblings visit. Can be very addictive to watch. You'll find your favorites I'm sure.
