Thank you I will be using your advice in my endeavors
Do you recall a lot of strips (arrhythmias) ?
There were questions about arrhythmias and identifying/treating them, but not so much with interpreting strips.
@thestudynurse-andraalyse6431 ok thanks... I have a study book with so many rhythms I'm like huhhh
Hi Do you any PDFs or videos that you can share?
You can check out the CCRN articles on my website for some great links to study material! Thestudynurse.com
Wow very thorough.
Hello, I am taking the CCRN exam sooon and I would like to take CMC exam as soon as possible. Do you recommend taking it a month after? I am afraid if I wait for so long to I will forgot CCRN information… which might come handy for CMC. What do you think? How long did you have to wait before you take your CMC?
Hey Diane! The material for the CCRN would definitely come in handy for the CMC! I wouldn’t wait too long to take that CMC exam for the very reason you mentioned. I waited 3 months to truly study and hone in on the cardio material. After devoting that time to studying, I ended up doing even better on the cmc than the CCRN! Be sure to check out my CCRN and cmc articles on my blog thestudynurse.com for specific information about the exams!
Thank you so much for responding ☺️
I would love an update on your journey. You're study prep vids have been a great help; thanks a lot! Im currently studying for my CCRN. CMC and GRE to come God wiling.
Hi, is the AACN review purchase has same questions w the actual exam?
No it’s not, however they do make the questions for the exam so it’s very similar and helps you know what to expect.
Hi 👋🏾 did you get in to CRNA school? We started our journeys about the same time. I’m interviewing soon . Would love to here where you are in the process ❤️
I ended up interviewing with one school at the time (350+ applied, about 40 interviewed, and about 15-20 selected). I was not offered admission at the time but it was an incredible learning opportunity and experience which I can make a video about. I ended up getting married and starting a family, so my dream is deferred for a little while but not given up on! Good luck with all your CRNA school endeavors!
Hi Andra, I loved your hack about thiftbooks! I not only got my study books from there, but also some books for leisure too...once my life isn't just studying full time, haha. I do have a bit of testing anxiety though, and was wondering if you could shed some light on how test day was like. Can we bring in earplugs? Pens or pencils? A calculator? I have read some places will give a slip of paper, while some places use a digital notepad?
It’s formatted a lot like the NCLEX exam. I had to lock up my belongings, wasn’t able to bring ANYTHING in the testing room with me, and everything was done on the computer. I did receive a piece of scratch paper and pencil but hardly touched it. You’ll find out your results immediately after submitting (via the testing personnel) and they’ll provide you with a score report.
Excellent resources!
I passed yesterday. I would suggest get the Barron 2020 book & flash card & Ace CCRN. Its a solid review. I also have CCRN ACCN review 90 days subscription . I worked night shift 4-5 nights.I started question Aug - Oct. My suggestions is checking rationale for wrong answer & weekly reviewing by System using the CCRN flash card.
Congratulations on passing!!
Congrats!!! Im studying for CCRN now. Im using the Barron’s and I was debating if I should purchase the CCRN ACCN. Which ACE the CCRN book did you use… the review or test questions ?
@@catherinebattista2587 the Test Questions
@@catherinebattista2587 I second Rose's suggestion! I found her review book to be of very little use to me while studying (it wasn't constructed in a way conducive to how I learn best). The test questions were fairly good in her practice exams book.
Thanks!
No problem!
Please share your GRE scores, interested on score after only a few weeks of study . I was planning to study for at least 6 months !
I actually ended up scoring a 310! The programs I was interested in only required ~300 to be competitive.
I’m studying for GRE and CMC and have a few months before taking biochemistry again!!!
Good luck! Hope it all went well!
Change that battery. 🤣
I’ve tried so many times and it still beeps 🙈
Can you post a CSC review resources? Love your video 😍
I have yet to prepare for the CSC! My CVICU requires a year commitment before they train on open hearts. I’ll be starting that journey here soon though and I’ll keep you posted!
Have you started yet? @@thestudynurse-andraalyse6431
Hi!!! I always follow your Facebook posts but it’s so good to see you through video ❤️ I absolutely love you heart to help others and you’ve definitely helped me tremendously!
I’m so happy to hear this 🙌🏼 Always love to help y’all succeed!
Hello Andra Alyse, Thank you for your videos they are very helpful!! :)
So happy to hear that!
Great video! I purchased AACN’s practice questions and NK CMC review course & book (when she had a sale). Love AACN’s practice booklet and NK’s review course (I’m more of a visual/kinesthetic learner). I completely agree with your feedback about her CMC book too. I come from a CVICU background, but that doesn’t mean I’m super confident about the CMC exam lol After your review, I invested in the AACN review course and the CNEA practice question book. I think they’ll be good resources for CRNA interviews. Love your channel!
I completely agree with you about the resources and how they’ll be useful later on for school interviews! And thank you for showing my channel some love 🥰 Next week I’ll post about tips for the cmc exam! Let me know if you ever need anything!
@@thestudynurse-andraalyse6431 thanks! I’m nervous about tackling the CMC (had the same nerves with CCRN)! Earned CCRN back in September & finally signed up to take the CMC 🙌🏽 Imposter Syndrome is no joke 😳 So excited for you with your channel! Oh yes tips for CMC would be awesome!
Imposter syndrome is SO a thing. I didn’t even know what it was called! The CMC was definitely harder for me, but I had a MICU background...not a CVICU background. It’d be interesting to see if this one was easier for you to tackle 🤔
Hi Andra! Which resources do you recommend for the CMC? Thankful for all of your advice! (:
Hey Genesis! I have a video coming up during January about the CMC exam: resources and tips! I release a new one each Saturday morning 🤗 Until then, I have an article on my blog that talks about the CMC exam! You can find it here: thestudynurse.com/2020/11/19/pass-the-cmc-with-confidence/
Good evening Genesis! I just released the CMC resources video today and wanted to provide you with the link! Here it is: ruclips.net/video/eZHvcIlgrkc/видео.html I truly hope it helps you!!
I’m taking the cmc in a week !!
Your vid was actually insightful! I have been trying to research for video that teaches everything in this vid. 👩⚕️Your vid for sure is like the content of Doctor Ethan! Doctor's explanations are helpful and I actually learned a lot for my exams! I recommend you check out his YT out and give the Doctor a subscribe! ➡️ #DrEthanEducational
I’ll have to check it out! So happy to hear it was insightful for you! I try my hardest not to share anything I think students and nurses wouldn’t find helpful. Let me know if you ever need anything or want to see a specific video topic!
Man it seems like the same as medical school requirements but with critical care experience
It’s definitely a super involved process. But in the end, I am pursuing a doctoral degree. I like the nursing track because it integrates clinical and didactic components over less time while being patient-focused, not only disease-focused.
@@thestudynurse-andraalyse6431 that's interesting i know after my BSN I was going to take a shoot at med school. Guess you just have to push through you know
Sometimes it can be hard, especially when the journey seems to take forever but there is an end in sight 😌
@@thestudynurse-andraalyse6431 a day at a time before you know it you have built a foundation for your success
Such great tips, thanks for sharing. I am just about to start my journey next semester and I am trying to prepare as well as I can.

I like the advice. I am more of a type the notes type of guy. I am about to start my final semester and it is rough student life while in nursing school especially with coronavirus.
