PNW is hyper local so bigger chains are kinda shunned….i find best burgers in local bars and taverns, aside from that…i didn’t care for dicks burgers but people here like them…as mentioned, Burgerville ans Burgermaster….others Frugals (port angeles, tacoma,, spokane, auburn) Frisco Freeze (tacoma) Eastside Big Jim’s (Olympia) …smaller towns, see where the locals are going! That makes travel more fun! Have fun!

I think it’s sad pilots are required to retire at 65. They have so much experience and can still do the job.

Invest on a starlink mini. Get wifi on remote areas. Peace of mind when travelling by yourself or when you break down in the middle of nowhere. I do a lot of solo camping, overlanding style 4x4. Its a game changer.

At Walmart look in auto sections for blue mechanic towels, they don't rip as you get ivory soap no oil other has you need to get the oil of you to be clean no hot water means no oily soap,cut it in small cubs or you put too much on the towel then get a spray bottle wet a towel dab the and do section as arm spry water and squeeze dirty water out etc. best bath you can get other than real cotton towel , but oil stay on it. Don't used baby wipe or kitchen towe don't feed clean as this way, it's the ivory and the towel that has nylon fiber and cotton so it can last many wash then throw it away. Took me trying every thing possible till this one. Feel like a real soap bath squeaky clean but hair I do it under clothes as it don't touch clothes it bottom side so nobody knows seen you. Try it, about 6 buck try. The blue towel pro stronger best .

It’s not unusual to hear gunshots in Oregon’s backcountry there’s a lot of hunting happening here. There are also some predator species that it’s legal to shoot because they attack livestock, so gunshots are not that unusual. We’re out in a small city near the Oregon coast and we hear gunshots at least once a week.

Little further south, but if you ever go towards Mammoth, check out Lake Valentine. It's a haul to get there, but there's dispersed camping, fresh springs for water nearby, and it's absolutely stunning. The trout will swim right up to your feet if you swim

the running injury bug is a huge bummer. I started my channel after injuring my Achilles doing an Ironman so I'd have a different creative outlet, and it's just started acting up again this summer. I used to drive a Ford focus, probably about the same size as your 3. I can't imagine car camping in the back! Very impressive haha. If you get the Subaru, there's inflatable mattresses that you can get that perfectly fit the back of most SUVs. It really elevates the car camping experience. Also - good for you for getting out and doing what you want. Waiting around for others ends up holding you back

I don't think there is a day that I don't hear gunshots on public land🤣, but as others have mentioned, October through November is the height of rifle hunting season. This should make you feel extra safe because you know there are a bunch of blue-collar men and women with guns who will come to your aid if someone tries to mess with you. 😊 Jason

Bend has bad air quality for a combination of reasons. There are many fires in the area and it's kind of a sink that traps too much pollution. There are also way to many diesel vehicles. The smells are seasonal. Come in Spring and it's a wonderful place.

Be careful venturing into popular hunting areas during Elk and Deer season. Next time visit Diamond lake just to the north of Crater lake, there are some amazing views of Mt. Thielsen from the lake. I think the jackery as a dining table is just fine, might even help keep your food warm! Welcome to Central Oregon.

My brother has been pulled over twice for drinking liquid death in the car. Both times the cops knew what it was once they saw it up close but they still had to check.

I love driving and going on super long road trips. I'd never drive as a job though as I'm sure that would ruin the magic pretty quick...
