Wow ❤🎉❤❤
Lovely! It would be even better if you would hold the face more directly at the camera rather than slightly upwards because of the glare. We can't see the colors as well.
These are beauties
Gorgeous stones. It would be nice if we could see them close up too.
Close ups of the cut surfaces would be nice!!!
Thank you for the advice. I would agree that I need to do a better job of closeups.
8/10 your average just skyrocketed.
It was a high yield group. Thanks for the comment.
Great video and a pretty impressive batch for sure. Do you happen to ship stone to Canada? Selecting another country via your website doesn't appear to be an option.
Oh I love these agates. Could you maybe hold them still for a couple of secs so we can see them better? They look great but hard for these old eyes to see clearer
Thank you for the comment. I do need to work on the closeups and hopefully my videos are improving over time.
Just found your channel. I love agates and agate cutters. Great work. Keep it up! ❤
Thank you for your kind words and for watching!
Absolutely beautiful!! TY so much for sharing this! 😍😍
Thanks for watching!
I really enjoy your videos and seeing the wonderful agates you show. I would like to suggest that you reveal the inside of them by keeping them a little more stable so we can view them without having to attempt to pause at the right time and keeping them in frame while talking about the features would be very helpful. I absolutely love your enthusiasm and the love you have for Mother Nature’s handy work, perhaps showing them off with different lighting if possible while you give the initial preview would give them the best chance to show their glory to us as they only give us a quick flash of brilliance and then to a washed out, glaring over exposure type of obstacle to viewing the true beauty in the stones. I don’t want to sound like a picky complaining armchair rock hound however and as always thoroughly enjoyed your work! Thanks for your time and effort!
I appreciate the suggestions and agree with them as well. I am trying to improve the videos. Thanks again for watching!
My favorite is the red banded one with the amethyst quartz in the center
Any agate with Amethyst in it makes if good for me. Thanks.
Love Condor Agate!
I love Condor agate as well. Thanks for watching!
do you have any more fighting blood agate rough?
I do have more of the Fighting blood agate rough. It is a low yield agate. I will place 1 or 2 lots on the website soon. Thanks for watching.
Some real beauties there. Always fun to watch. Thanks!
Thank you Rodney and thanks for watching!
Man you got ya a few killers there imo. Very nice. Condor is one I haven’t had the pleasure of cutting any of yet. Haven’t found any to buy from someone I trust. I think I have one half of one.
I like most banded agate. I should save Love most banded agate. But Condor is one of my favorites.
That blue one seems unusual for Condor. Some spectacular ones in this cutting session. Thanks for sharing!!
I was very happy with the cutting of these agates. Thanks for watching!
Just got my package of agates from you last night and cut a few after work. Beautiful stones so far with great parallax
Glad they arrived safely and that you have cut some good ones. Thanks again!
All are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your precious collection.
You are so welcome!
Lovely ! Thank you for sharing
Thank you Dawn! And thanks for watching!
Thank you for your comment... I just like my rocks and I may become a lot inspired so Thank You for Your Channel... I have some catching up to do..
Thank you for watching! I have found that I have enjoyed the rock hobby immensely.
Wow , rhose turned out beautiful, gr8 vid❤
Thank you! I love this agate for making wire wrap stones as well as specimens.
If you are blasé it means you are bored with something - I think you just mean "blah" 🙂 These were amazing - so fun to watch. The one you said "ugh" about, around 5:45, totally looks like a wombat from the side view. Google "wombat from the side" and tell me I'm wrong 😄
you are right. very interesting. thanks for watching
I'd be happy with the mossy ones as well. Interesting contrasts. I love watching Turkish agates get cut as well.
Thank you for your comment. Contrast in rock is very important and I agree with you on the Turkish agates.
Hi from Portugal!
Hello, Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the inspiration! Wondering if the stiffness of having a bearing surface on the left side of the blade would help? 👍
I like that the blade has a spring and bend in it. It allows me to carve the stones into a rough shape ready for grinding. It cuts the grinding by 95%. Or you could go straight into the tumbler. Thanks again.
@@Superagates I get it but saw that the blade was cutting into the SS top and thought a guide just back from the diamond edge would be help. The blade would still flex but keep the left side cutting edge in tack. Just a thought ...
Awesome rocks! Do you use the stock blade with that saw, or have you found something better? Thanks
I use a thin blade made in China. Of course most blades are made in China. But the blades I use are extremely durable and work great for cutting or carving. Thanks for watching!
@@Superagates Is it a secret which one?
I bought them long ago. Have sold quite a few as well. I don't know what the company in China is, just that I liked the product. I will put some on my website soon. Thanks again.
Beautiful. Was hoping to see some of this on your site. 😞
Hello Ron, I do have some of those under international agates/tiger eye. Thanks again for watching!
@@Superagates Darn it. Now I have to wait until the next order 🙂
Thanks again for watching!
Thanks for the introduction to this beautiful material. What is a good source for it?
I am not sure where to get it. I bought mine when I went to Argentina about 15 years ago. I will put some on my website soon. www.superagates.com
Do you ever sell your saw scraps?❤
I do sell the better scraps which can be quite nice. The rest is given away. Thanks again.
Love agate
I love agate too!
Standard tumble 😂 those are big boy tumblers
The tumblers in the background are home made with pvc pipe. The large size allows for quite a bit more in possibilities. Thanks for watching!
@9:24 FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL STONES UR DONT LIKE AND ARE TALKING BAD ABOUT!!!!!!!
Maybe
It's sooooooo nice for me to see someone cut Agates the right way instead of the easy way!!!!!
Thank you so much!
Very nice rocks. May I ask where you get them from? Thanks
Thank you. I have collected agates for over 30 years. All of this rough is from my purchases over the years. I bought the Laguna rough 15 to 20 years ago. Thanks for watching!
@@Superagates Wish I would have started back then. Probably alot cheaper back then. Good for you.
I wondered the same thing!
Still didn't Answer the Question, Where Are these Stones/Agates From, Laguna New Mexico❓🤔
you're batting .300. is it worth it?
If I cut 10% good, I am happy. I just love agate and Laguna can be exceptional. Thanks for watching!
Wow, a bunch of really beautiful stones sir, and a couple MEH. haha The 8:11 is super pretty. Hard to spend a bunch of money on a hopefully pretty stone IMO. Especially when folks are selling chunks of rock for $25 or more per lb. There are a few specimen that I've spent money on to purchase like Condor agate but for the most part am fortunate to live where there is tons of really pretty materials to go and hunt yourself on public land. Thx for sharing the goodies~
Thank you for watching! I think one of the best aspects of the hobby is hunting rock yourself. It is hard to beat.
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Got ya a few good ones in that batch! Awesome. I recently cut some for the first time. Got a couple ok ones. Nothing compared to the good ones you cut and all were smaller. They are my favorite agate however because of the price and lack of availability I take into account I have others that are my favorites.
I like all banded agate and jaspers. It is so much fun to cut them. Thanks for watching!
At 3:40 that one looks like a giant lizard with a hole in it's neck with a dude's face looking out... Dude looks like he was stuck in there for some time... Help the man!!!
You have a great imagination, which is a very good quality. Thanks for watching.
These are awsome, lots of studs, gr8 vid.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. And thanks for watching!
Beautiful agates. ❤
Thank you! 😊
I like the ones with the deep red center best! They look like a pair of boots😊
It is always fun to see pictures in stone. Thanks for watching!
The large purple one looks a lot like a Purple Passion, minus the white you usually see in a P.P. You definitely had some surprises in that bunch.
It is a little unusual for Laguna. But I like unusual. Thanks for watching!
That one is for sure a great one! I hope to get one of those in my cutting! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Wow! Beautiful stones and the second to last is mind blowing. Really good session overall. Thanks for sharing Mark.
Thanks Rodney! It is always fun to cut a nice agate. Thanks for watching.
I would love to learn how to polish some of my agates and stones.
It is a fantastic thing when the stone is polished to a high gloss. Thanks for watching.
I just happened upon your channel. From your selection of 5, I think it is difficult to pick a favorite. They are all beautiful in their own way. Depending on the day and mood, any of them could be preferred. In fact, I think it is probably a bit rude to pick a favorite from here. They are all magnificent 😍
Thank you for your kind comment and for watching!
You sure gave that saw blade a workout! Very interesting the way you "carved" those pieces. I have seen others do that on their grinding wheels to expose the agate goodness. Yours are especially nice!
The saw blades I use are very durable. I bought them years ago and are relatively cheap at $35.00. My time is worth more than the blade. Thanks for watching!
Beauties. Even though I'm sure the backs are not as interesting, I'd still like to see all sides.
The crazy lace I am using can have and usually does have a relatively thin layer of beautiful agate. As a result the back is usually not nearly as nice. You make a good point about showing the back!
Top left in the final picture is my favorite of the five, however, all of them could easily be one's favorite! Really nice BIG crazy lace agates!! Big stones are a good reason to have a 12 lb. tumbler. One of my lifelong mentors used to say, "Go big or stay at home". Did you do shaping prior to going for the tumble polish?
Check out his crazy lace agate carving video
Thank you David!
Thank you for watching! I do shape the stones before placing them in the tumbler. I run 60/90, then 220, then 1500, and finally polish. But they are all shaped before. The original stone may have weighed 2 to 3 times as much as the finished. Thanks again.
@@Superagates Great work there. When you tumble these what type of filler material do you use? Thanks
