1) the story for unknown is that a guy name Thaven tasked you to assist Corlian (necromancer) and/or take Corlian‘s findings to Thaven. Some bandits knocked you out, robbed you, and tossed you in here. Villager is similar to Derrin‘s story. The Proctor‘s story is that they’re tasked to kill the necromancer. 2) there are healing potions, about 1 per level. 3) it is worth it to check boxes/containers because there are chances to find armor, orbs, gems, or healing potions. The first 2 levels have set healing potion locations. 4) the plus signs indicate leveling up. Yellow for skills and Blue/Purple for powers.

So some advice for merc missions and you might be aware of but just in case, there are friendly security npcs in them and if you shoot them you will get a crime stat. Friendly will have a marker above there heads, while baddies won’t. The bad guys usually wear purple gear atm

Also if you want a faster way to off yourself you can hold backspace to un-alive your character

Haha tool-face? Not at all, I remember my first time accidentally hitting the eject switch, it’s a right of passage in these parts. The ship exploding with it was new though, but regardless of that your ship would have still been rendered unusable since your seat would be gone. 😂🎉

That icon that was in the top right with the person and what you thought was a timer is the crime stat counter. It tells you your criminal status if you have committed any crimes. It follows the same style as GTA, level 1-5. Levels 1-2 are considered minor infractions and can be paid off at infraction terminals at most spaceports or cities. Level 3-5 are considered serious offense and will place a warrant for your immediate capture/death and will end with a prison sentence. You can escape from prison but it’s a marathon to do but can be fun, otherwise you can mine or do other tasks to work your sentence down

For ship damage three ways to get it fixed. Easiest way, take your ship to a station and request for a place to land, once landed, open your mobiglass and in it there is a tab that lets you pay to have your ship rearmed, repaired, and refueled, option 2, patch it up yourself using the multitool with repair attachment (might be apart of the salvage attachment) and it won’t fully repair it but will add back armor to the damaged area, last you can claim your ship with insurance and get a new one back

For weapon keybinds 1 - pistol, 2 - cycles through primary guns, 3 is for utility items (hacking chips), 4 - utility tools (med guns, multi tool), R for reload, hold R to put away

Yeah exploration still has a long way to go but there are hidden points of interest that you can discover that aren’t on the given map. One of my favorites is the Javelin capital ship crash site on the moon, Daymar, that orbits Crusader. It can be a little tough to find but is an awesome sight to see.
