    I've always said her first and last name with an accentuation on the first syllable. ED-die IZ-zard. These two gentlemen subtly put the accentuation of the last name on the second syllable, which to my American ears sounds like: "Eddie Is Odd!" aka ED-die iz-ZARD! Hear the difference? This is actually better. Maybe I should do this from now on, because Eddie IS odd! That's why she's so funny! She's odd! ED-die iz-ZARD! I'll try that for awhile. I mean I stopped calling her a him. I can learn to say her last name correctly too! =)

    You young folks! ..My generation loved Man from Uncle & knew David was a musician 1st & foremost! His albums, 'Music- a Part of Me' & 'Music- a Bit More of Me' were on the turntable of my little box record player in the mid 1960s & I played them till I wore them out. Funny to see young people "discover" this great music again!

    Charlie Korsmo also played “The Kid” in Dick Tracy, which also co-starred Dustin Hoffman as Mumbles. I always thought Madonna would have made a better Tinker Bell, remembering her blonde pixie cut from her “Papa don’t Preach video, and the role was easy enough on the dialogue, though she did terrific in Dick Tracy.

We start with the first one and 63 episodes later we start back with the first one. It takes us a little over a year to watch all of them. Our friends think we are nuts- but we love him!!

    Shape / photo man is at his most scary when Sapphire's ability to return or turn back time is used on the stairs where he seems to be most powerful ( 'yesterday, upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there, he wasn't there again today, I wish, I wish he'd go away' ). That moment where all and everyone who ever walked on those few steps is revealed in negative form, while time screams by, is consistently terrifying. Guys, like the reviews, but reactions can be done, too.

    Did you know that a game has been released that is set in this particular historical era? Unfortunately, occurrences like this are very rare. The game features characters such as musketeers, pikemen, and reiters, and it offers a real-time gaming experience. Additionally, you can play the game directly in your browser, even on your phone. The game is titled "Musketeers. Gunpowder vs. Steel".

    🤣🙃😂 you're not the only one! We also had to do some 'dancing' to this to some of the tracks at primary school. Maybe what you'd call year 3 now - it was around 1988. Think it was only our class too. Seemed like we were doing it for ages and maybe we had to perform it too. The songs have stuck in my head ever since 🤣🙃😂

    The ABC in Australia shares a lot of shows with the BBC. As such we had the Goodies, Banana man, and Super Ted. One trivia night I held had a question about "which super hero lives on 29 Acacia Rd?" It frustrated a lot of people, because it seemed familiar, but they couldn't place it. Great reaction when I said the answer

  • @Stephen-Fox
    @Stephen-Fox 5 месяцев назад

    I'd be more concerned with the fact that Superted dies in an early episode than where he leaves his skin. (OK - So - SuperTed is brought to life by Spotty's magic powder which turns inanimate objects animate. During an early episode, he's hit by a space shuttle, and stops moving during it, until Spotty uses that same magic powder on SuperTed, implying he's inanimate at the time - i.e. a corpse, ergo, the space shuttle hitting him kills him)

    Love the podcast and so happy you covered Mysterious Cities of Gold, a childhood favourite - its making sitting in the middle of a Welsh campsite in 50mph winds watching my brand new campervan awning being destroyed in front of me, a bit more manageable, so thank you loads - and I apologise to all the other campers around me for hogging the wi-fi as I stream this on my phone (and not stream 20 ways on how to save your tent). Great stuff guys, I also recommend on the beer front Lomond Gold by Black Wolf brewery, a really nice Scottish Blonde beer. PS - Have you guys done Phileas Fogg Around the World in 80 days cartoon yet? I don't remember seeing it in the playlist but highly recommend checking it out, an old CBBC Anglo-French classic which I think even got a sequel.

    I know this is an older upload. But I think you are being very harsh on crime traveller. There were only 5 main rules. All of which are plausible in this version of the "time travel rules". Given different shows and films have equally different rules on time travel. Also the series was not cancelled. Anthony Horowitz explains why, " The show wasn't exactly cut. There was a chasm at the BBC created by the arrival of a new Head of Drama (Peter Salmon) and our run ended at that time. There was no-one around to commission a new series...and so it just didn't happen."

    David McCallum‘s parents were musicians and he grew up being a musician and that’s why he also did music I think for the twilight zone and our limits that he doesn’t get credited for four years before he did sapphire and steel. He had played the invisible man in a TV series created by Stephen Bosko And Har Bennett who was working on the $6 million man and the bionic woman and actually the same producers and directors who had worked on the $6 million man and even the same set that was used as Dr. Wells laboratory in Colorado Springs was used as David’s laboratory

    You know, Gary is not actually (yet) legally guilty of bigamy. To be so, you have to marry someone while you are married to someone else, and Gary never is. His wives are never even alive at the same time as one another. He's a love rat and a cheat, certainly, but I don't think even if he admitted all the facts that they could make a charge of bigamy stick.
