How I Stop Envying Others
In today's video, I will discuss three ways that help me stop envying others. Envy is talked about in the Bible as a great sin that we must avoid. It creates discontentment in our hearts and breeds other sins. I hope you enjoy today's video and find encouragement to stop envying others.

I wish I could try every pen in the world! :) Any suggestions on your favorites?
Tried at least 20 different fountain pens and I still can’t spell worth a damn.
@ perhaps they’ll start installing spell check to help us all out? 😂

No, the LITV by Jay Green is the most accurate absolute word for word translation. I’ve tested it with the actual original Hebrew and Greek and it didn’t fail.
Can't go wrong with theKJV!
Pre 1995 NASB all the way!
to robertmatos - and how do you test the spirit’s?
No one needs MSG. Its heretical
CSB!!!!
📌For what it's worth, I use: 'World English Bible with Deuterocanon/Apocrypha' And, 'Young's Literal Translation Bible' Also, I find that interlinear Bibles can be of great utility💜
Hi I need help, which type of bible to buy?because there’s different translation
/ was reading the lamsa translation and I may be wrong but the original text was the Old Testament written in old Hebrew and the New Testament in Greek ... he supposedly compounded both but this may also be false (money grab)l just wonder if I want to read the Bible accurately, what translation to grab for the Old Testament from old Hebrew to English, as well as a translation from the original Greek to English of the New Testament? The reason I was reading the lamsa over the kjv is because there are verses missing the kvj.
1am in Las Vegas! My name is Princess, 31y/o and just bought my first bible 🥹NIV Journal the Word Women’s Bible. I don’t know too much about all the different versions, so I’m hoping this version is just as accurate. I’m gonna try to catch up to the daily’s, but I just feel lifted to even start this journey. Thank you for providing us with your time and precious notes to get closer to God, can’t wait to spend the year here!
New KJV or NIV
Throw that one into the trash!
I personally like the King James Version❤ My first version was RSV I have KJV app on my phone With search, that is worth it's weight in gold🎉 But have noticed why my search says "no match found" Because I put RSV words into the KJV search Most of the time when I hear a verse quoted it is in KJV that is why I like it best it gets into your memory that way
The New Translation Bible is the Best. I say this because it's older than any Bible he talks about and the True Name of G-d and his Son Yahushua Hamaschiac.
? The best one is the one thats most accurate or exactly accurate to the original scriptures.
CSB kinda had me until Deuteronomy 22:28🤔 It translates as if a man rapes a virgin she is to marry him when in other versions the word rape is not used. Rather other versions like ESV,KJV, read that a virgin not being engaged to another man but consenting to fornication than she is to marry him. The rape translation is a crucial error that leads atheist to discredit God. Ill still use it but its enough to make me look into other versions unfortunately
The ESV that you recommend is a corrupt Bible version. Satan knows that God has promised to preserve his words found in the Holy Scriptures, so it would be futile for him to try to destroy them. Thus, Satan's strategy is to obscure God's words by flooding the world with counterfeit Bibles. That way, he can flimflam people into reading his corrupt Bibles instead of God's infallible Scriptures. The devil can then lead men astray from the true gospel. The Authorized (King James) Version of the Holy Bible is given by inspiration of God. Satan is using profane Bible versions to divert the world away from God's inspired Holy Scriptures. The changes in the new Bible versions are not merely cosmetic for ease of reading, as claimed by the publishers; they change doctrine. The new Bible versions confuse churches and demoralize the world by proclaiming a different Jesus and a different gospel from what is in God's inspired King James Holy Bible. Edward Hendrie Author of “HOAX of Biblical Proportions”
That's it...thank you..and I'm gone ✌🏿
ESV and NLT are also among my two favorite English Bible translations. The CSB is another favorite. The CSB is a good mediating translation between the ESV and the NLT. The CSB finds the sweet spot between formal and functional equivalence translations. In fact, this is mathematically shown (at least as far as these kinds of things can be shown) if you look up the paper by Andi Wu (Global Bible Initiative). Mark Ward has a good and easier to understand video about the CSB that goes through Andi Wu's paper.
why dont you do some research on who wrote each version. Trust God not man.
Why would you even mention the message
I’ve really enjoyed the NASB. I think the KJV is the one that people should default to for authority though.
There is only one true bible, Islamic Bible 😊
I try to get the bible that contains the most books, if Jesus wanted us to do away with some of the books in the Old Testament he would have done so
It's not about what i like but what is the most accurate. Because i want to learn as good as possible. I have read different verses from different Bibles and i can already see contradictions
That's bc your reading a translation! Do the deep dive into Biblical Hebrew! Nothing compares to the original
@@followersofyeshuahamashiac462Fair point but the original Hebrew at best is difficult, many words have several meanings, they have words that we don't have etc etc it's always going to be hard to translate word for word and you can sometimes end up missing the context that helps you find out what the right meaning is and what english word is best to use. Its easier with the NT because Greek is much more closely related to our language than ancient Hebrew
@@followersofyeshuahamashiac462 That is exactly what I am trying to say. People come with Hebrew Bible but the Ethiopian Bible is the oldest Bible.
NWT is the closest to the oldest manuscripts that exist. In my head that makes sense. KJV is knowingly grossly filled with errors, ASV is better than that
I prefer the HOLY Bible 😉
The original bible like in revelation 13:16 says in the hand or in the forehead... Not : on the hand or on the foreheads.
New American Bible is the best option imo (as well as the bishops opinion). The footnotes are excellent in my Bible and the translation gives you a better understanding of the Hebrew and Greek.
Yeah just check out second Samuel 21:19 in your new American Bible, I don't believe it has the right person killing Goliath... how about you?
@@dantombs5697 what are you talking about, it's the same name in every translation.
@@mikejames303 I would check the king James version and Compare the NAB. then check Matt 18:11 in the NAB
My favorite is the ISR version. It says The scriptures.
The bible is mid tbh very boring i would recommend to read other books

King James Only! Period
Yay bro 🎉 your on the right page , or rather on the only page!
Go to 1 Timothy 3:16. If it doesn’t say God was manifest in the flesh I wouldn’t use it
What is the difference between ESV & ESV ECONOMY Bible
Economy would be paperback with thin paper sold for bulk with old and new testament or just new testament, regular would just be variations with increased/ decreased prices depending on what you get from the store and/or publishers

Stay away from CSB, NIV, NLT. They are thought-for-thought translations. NASB, KJV, ESV are word-for-word attempts at English translation. Ppl forget that these books were originally written in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.
NKJV NASB ESV LSB MEV for me
NASB2020, KJV, NKJV and ESV for me.
I like cev and NLT and double checking with the kjv and for my daughter the icb
The best ones are the banned ones
Totally agree. The NLT is fantastic for new believers, kids, or for people who have reading issues. The ESV is excellent also. My personal favorite is the NKJV because it follows the same underlying texts as the KJV. Another translation that does this is the Modern English Version, or MEV. Don't forget the NIV, it is also easy to read for poor readers or kids
The KJV is the Book of the LORD.
All the ones he mentioned preach the gospel
then why did king james edit the venacular to better serve the monarchy. (i.e removing the word tyrant all together in fear of people revolting against the monarchy. reading the word of king james.)
KJV is the living word of God there is no other Bible If God can preserve you he can preserve his word for he is not a liar. Titus 1:2 “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” Modern Bibles make Jesus a liar. Pop quiz who was Jesus quoting "As it is written in ________, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." A. Isaiah B. Malachi C. Multiple Prophets. Answer C: KJV Answer A: All other Bibles Malachi 3:1 "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.” Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” John 7:8 KJV Jesus states he will not go to the feast 'Yet' for his time had not fully come and then goes later. In other Bibles He states he will not go up at all and then goes. If God's words will not pass away and he cannot Lie where are Gods words? KJV Jesus tells the Truth; other Bibles he's a liar, is swapped with Satan, and whole passages are omitted (lie by omission). Do you have God living word or a dead corpse pretending to be him?
KJV and NKJV for new readers
NLT and ESV are great suggestions. I found a beautifully done NKJV audio Bible, fully unabridged (99 hours long!) and I am enjoying that. But I supplement with NLT and ESV.
The message is garbage
NLT is best for me to understand. But the Holy Spirit teaches, so I believe if you are yearning for God’s Word, the Holy Spirit will reveal THE truth (Jesus) is whatever translation you read. Now “study” is a different thing. God says study to show thy self approved so at that point, I think you have to look at the Hebrew and Greek and then go on which Bible translation corresponds best with each verse. But praise God the message of salvation is easy and straightforward no matter which translation you read. Saved by grace through faith by belief on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins.
And how do you know it’s the Holy Spirit and not the evil one.
Faith without work’s is dead. Read 1Peter4:12-15,then Colossians1:24,and you will see Jesus is still on the cross. When the holy Catholic Church suffers so does Jesus!!!
@@simonslater9024 bc the Word says the test the spirits.
@@simonslater9024 common misconception of that verse. You can’t pull verses out of context to make it suit what you want to understand. Period Paul was saying that if you have faith in Christ, Christ makes you a new creation from the inside out. Therefore good works and fruit will come out because the Holy Spirit is working through you. Your good deeds do not get you to heaven, but your good deeds are done because you are saved and going to heaven. Jesus is last words on the crossword it is finished. That means the debt of sin has been paid. We are free from the bondage of sin. And knowing that, we live for him, by being obedient to the Holy Spirit, and doing the two commands that he called us to do, which is love God And to love others. But your cannot save you, because if they could, there would be no reason for Jesus to go to the cross. He could’ve just stayed in heaven and say “I need you guys to do good works.“ Be careful because the word says that cursed is anyone that adds or takes away from his word.
For me we can define a perfect Bible by its strength to defend itself. If it is not enough to defend itself then it is not the real word of God because it is imperfect. If God is perfect so also his words is perfect.
