I think the most important is to clean up
Definitely AN important part of a professional installation. Whenever I am sent to QC anyone's work, if I find trash left behind I immediately expect to find a low-quality installation.
That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Now, any moisture will penatrate that wire, and in a few months, you have problems.
Good point! Thankfully, I was doing a poke and wrap / military splice on the wire so that wouldn't apply. Furthermore, it was in a dry area that would not be subject to excess moisture.
Can we talk about NOT STABBING WIRES? find the connector and back probe it instead
Fair point! In this case, it would have required much more time to locate the terminating plug on this harness as it runs across the vehicle. The other end terminates up in the steering column shroud. But since the object is to complete a "poke and wrap" or "military splice" connection here anyway, the jacket is already destined for modification.
And in case anyone wants to dis my cheap impact driver, go ahead. I can take it. But check out this donut review of this impact driver. I absolutely love my $35 impact driver from TEMU. 16v impact driver : ruclips.net/video/PoCwhEOL5UQ/видео.htmlsi=dN59cpL5H_Ar8ggR&t=189
You could have done this with 1 relay
Thanks for the feedback. I knew someone would come along with a good idea. How would you have done it? It probably would have worked if I just installed the buzzer on the same circuit where I installed the 2nd relay. Instead of energizing 85/86 on the 2nd relay I could have used that same info to energize the buzzer. That may have been better. Is that what you're thinking? I need to chew on that for a minute. I guess since the buzzer is directional it hopefully wouldn't have back-fed the signal from the switch to the ignition switch. That would have been my main concern.
85/86 switch 30 to socket 87a from factory wire from socket 87 12v
Thank you! Great overview. This is actually exactly what I did in the video. The 2nd relay was only for the siren when the ignition is OFF but the switch is ON (to remind me to turn off the switch).
Good job boss!
Thank you, Sir! I'm just waiting to watch your uploads. Post 'em up!
