Holy Moly, where in the Darkhold has this channel been all my life? My first comic book purchase that I made at the age of 7 on my way to violin practice was Werewolf By Night #27 and it was this title that made me a comic book lifer. Glad you guys felt the need to make this channel, we Bronze-age monster fans appreciate it!!

I'm a fan of Tom Sutton's art, but this looks rushed and muddy. It's the last issue and maybe Val didn't have time for it, so they put the heat on Sutton to knock it out quickly. The Dreaded Deadline Doom and all that. Like when they used to bring in Vinnie Colletta to mess up Kirby's pencils when an inking job had to be done yesterday. Still a fun series and a worthy part of the whole Bronze Age Horror Comics framework.

That's the only conclusion we can draw based on Sutton's work before and after this on a myriad of titles.

As I've stated before Brother Voodoo has been my fave. A scholar who becomes a champion of the supernatural? Radicool. His entrances, backed by drums and flame are always bad-ass. The Living Mummy is close on his heels.

Great show guys! Gotta say The Living Mummy is my favorite so far. Brother Voodoo is pretty cool but ironically the Mummy is somehow a more human and sympathetic character.

My favorite this season has to be Brother Voodoo! He's cool, has a great costume and power set, and (as we all know) he makes a great entrance!

Kinda hard to choose but I think after this issue The Living Mummy is my favorite of this season. His story it's unique in some way, like the fact he's a mummy trying to be a human again, and because of the writing is easy to feel connected with this "monster".

Like Jason, I'm also loving The Living Mummy. I thought Brother Voodoo was really going to be my jam, but ever since Supernatural Thrillers 7 and his time on the park bench, the mummy is head and shoulders above the rest (even when he's sitting). This last issue seems to have been pretty influential for one of my all-time favs, Watchmen, with its parallel panel structures and the mummy's concept of time. Really enjoying what Jacob and Matt are doing, as always.

Maybe it's because I just read the issue for this episode, but The Living Mummy is currently my favorite protagonist of this season. He looks a lot more threatening and capable of doling out a real smackdown than mummies typically are, and he's actually got a fleshed-out pre-mummy backstory.

Just discovering this channel! Love Werewolf By Night! This was a great interview! And I'd support Roy Thomas having a regular ongoing book at Marvel. I'd love to read a Sub-Mariner book by Roy (the character desperately needs a writer who actually likes and knows the character and lore nowadays). I'd also support an Invaders book by Roy, a Defenders book, and, of course, a Werewolf By Night book. But like he said, I'd want it to be something substantial, like a twelve or twenty-four issue series. While I'd take a four to ten issue series, it just wouldn't be long enough to get any momentum.

I expected the blowgun dart to go into his neck, but iirc it goes into his lower back and kinda sags down limply. That's some potent toxin!

This show is top shelf BAM. Occasionally you guys above and beyond the mission statement and are able to shine a light on extraordinary work that would otherwise go under most people’s radar. The art in this issue is a masterpiece of visual storytelling that I never would have found my way to on my own. Keep doing the Lord’s (or dark Lord’s) work.
