It's kind of a boring game, tbh. These clips would lead one to believe that there is actually a story of substance in this game. It's a beautiful world and the game play is decent. It's just got no story at all. 5 minutes into the game vs beating the final boss... it's like... "ok? almost every single boss was *exactly* the same thing and there was no character developments... nothing..."

We will never have an experience like this again. People talk about FF7 and FFX as "generational games" and then things like Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time get thrown in the mix for their novel 3D concept. Goldeneye on N64 for pioneering the modern FPS, and then OG Halo for refining the mechanics, resulting in a generation of copy cats and evolutions on the formula, ranging from it's own sequels to the entire Call of Duty franchise and now the entire battle royal genre. Elden Ring is that game for us. And it has gone so far beyond any previous game that has ever claimed that title.

About 20 seconds into the fight, the giant ran over to the steps near the chest, very close to the ledge. I struck his ankle a couple of times, and he toppled over...right over the ledge to his death.

The DLC is bigger than DS 3 with 4x as many bosses than DS 3. Shadow of the Erdtree is a standalone game and you can not change my mind about that.
