Thank you. Rather that take my wife's old C3 to the garage to get the fan repaired, I got off my fat arse and followed your video. 10 minutes later and all was done and back to 100% working. A+++
Well-made video and very informative, Had the same water problem. Water got into car thought the fan duct, soak my carpets as well. Air motor just died, So I clean the water drain out and unblocked the pipes of leaves debris which had turn to mud. Paper towelled the carpet. Then I used Dehumidifier Crystals on the dashboard for three days. It dried out all the Condensation on the car windows, which kept me driving, and on the third day the fan started working again. Crystals only cost a £1 nice cheap fix. One last thing, run the heater to dry the thing out. Could save a few quid.
It also depends on which model you have, mine was located on the passeger side. Also take the old one out to make sure you order the right one, despite being assured by several sites, it still turned out to be the wrong one.
Hi, I have recently acquired an old solo S7-UP. It is old (2016) but has never been installed or commissioned. It is no longer supported by the pod point app. My question is if I remove the SIM card from the PCB and don't connect to WiFi once the electrical installation is complete will it be possible to use this charger as just a "dumb" charger? On the the charger itself the label states that the charge will stop after 15 minutes if not confirmed using the app? Thanks for your help and I'm sorry my question is directly related to your video but I can't find a definitive answer elsewhere and wanted to avoid any further cost and time spent on an installation if it won't work.
sorry I'm not familiar with the model you describe. I know all of the non domestic charger units need to report back to the main server to monitor charging. domestic units do not despite what may be said. I don't monitor mine with an app and I know others that don't like their data collected have disabled the WiFi monitoring. if you got the unit cheap I'd do a dry install of just running a temp cable to the unit plugging in and seeing what happens before a full install. if you are not comptitent with electrics this should be done only by a qualified electrician.
Hi just to let you know that that I went ahead with the installation of the pod point. I removed the onboard SIM before powering up the device preventing any off air forced updates. The good news is that it works so far as a 7kW "dumb" charger!! Thanks for your help and time.
Before ordering a new resistor pack, it's worth jiggling the connector about and checking the terminals aren't corroded. On my C3 (2004 1.4i petrol) the fan started running slowly and making a noise, then would cut out altogether - cleaned the connector terminals and wiggled it about, and now it's working perfectly again!
Thank you so much been driving in the cold having to have the windows downs because car keeps steaming up for 2 weeks now. Had quotes for £100-£150 too close to Christmas to get it done. Seen this video yesterday 21/12/2020 ordered the part of line next day delivery now we have a warm car can't thank this video maker enough
Can anybody help help with my handbrake after I have released it and pull away I get a beep telling me that my handbrake is still on but I don’t have any warning lights come up on my dash . I have six clicks when putting handbrake on plz help it’s driving me insaine
Sounds like a sticky pop out switch to me, not popping out. Wd40 in the switch might free it up. Switch should be under bottom section of handbrake pivot, easy to get at as if it’s a C3 the plastic covers just pop off (also allows access for handbrake adjustment). Still stuck I’ll make a vid
Are you sure it's the handbrake warning? If it is, the warning light should come on. When I first had my C3 it beeped like this - it turned out to be the speed warning buzzer (which I didn't even know I had). For some reason it was set at about 3mph!
My Citroen C3 is pretty old - 2006 (automatic). Is the fan resistor likely to be in the same location as the one in the video? I took my car to an auto repair today and they quoted me £600 minimum. They said the part alone costs £300 then labour on top would be around £300 - £400. My car is too old to spend that sort of money on this.
Just take a look and watch the video alongside. I think it should be if it’s not the Picasso which I believe is slightly different. It’s worth looking first before you order a rectifier.
@@rewardingrepairs7872 Hi - liked the video thank you :-) I've a similar fault on my 2009 C3 Picasso (sometimes works; sometimes dead as a nit). Could you tell me where this is on the Picasso please? Thanks in advance.
What I start the car there's a clicking noise go on for about 2...3 minutes then goes off
Thank you

Thanks a lot, worked a treat, really appreciate your video 👍👏
Ako sa vola ta suciastka?
Ive got a similar problem, but mine keeps blowing as soon as you turn the car on and won’t shut off. Would it still be to do with the resistor?
May have gone open circuit so it won't turn off. Yes go for it
Thanks a lot! Very helpful!
Repaired mine this week thanks for a perfect video sorted my heater out perfectly

How did you reach the top T20 screw from top as I can't even see the top T20 screw
Luckily wasn't a top screw attached so very easy replacement
First gen tuono! 🤘

My man I owe you a beer! I was quoted 300-500 for this to be fixed and £25 and watching your video and it's fixed!!
Hey can you send me link for where you brought it from ?
You have to take out the clovebox if you have a normal car and the wheel is on the left side ä. Stupid
Hi… is the top screw hard to remove? I can see the bottom screw but not the top one that it says to remove.
Thank you so much mate!
Merci 👍👍👍
great video ! where is location on citroen c2 1.4 hdi?
lifesaver! went to the mechanic, who said it would be £100-150. just saved me so much and did it quite easily
I got a c3 2010. Does anyone know if it is the same process.
Thank You so much
Super. 👍
Thank u so much, this helped me a lot , bought it on amazon for £15.99 and fixed it in less than 15mins
Mulțumesc mult!

Mine was sporadic like yours. One day working the next not. Changed the resistor and it now works all the time. Cheap off Amazon 👍🏼
@@patrickellis1562 on my Case it was a Faulty Fuse. The Main Fuses with 40 Amps

How did you cleaned it ? The corroded part?
@@jorgociko579 it was just the electrical connector - cleaned with a little steel wool and some solvent.
Amazing! Worked perfectly on my C2 VTR (2005). 20€ for the spare part! Thank you for making this video!
I just fixed my fan because of your video. Thanks very much!
On a left hand drive car the resistor is on the passenger side, not the driver side. Great video, thanks
Do you know how to reach it on lhd vehicles? I've been trying for 2 days and I can't seem to get to it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. My car have exactly the same problem. It helps me a lot.

Brilliant video showing all aspects of why the fan might not be working. A great job with no faffing around.
Great video short and to the point, i will now go and try to fix my fan
