Blue Campaign - Labor Trafficking Awareness Videos - Medical Clinic
The following dramatized scenarios depict indicators of labor trafficking - a crime committed when a trafficker uses force, fraud, or coercion to compel another person to work for little or no wages. Human trafficking victims are often invisible because we do not recognize indicators of human trafficking. Identifying signs of human trafficking and reporting a tip may save a life. Isn t dangerous to do rescue breaths in this case ? Won t the foreign object be pushed downward if we do it ?

so at 5:30, if the victim isn't breathing, do you keep the arm-head-splint technique going, and get them onto a backboard quickly, or just switch to full-on swimming and forget about the arm-head-splint, and then just have a secondary lifeguard pull them out of the water? This doesn't seem explained, and while I'd just go by common sense, in this type of situation that requires split-second decisions, every second counts, I would want to know what the protocol would technically be. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

pretty sure you still use the splint you just don’t strap the victim in the backboard

Well done Red Cross. As the person who conceived and developed this recovery position, named by the medical faculty of the University of Melbourne as the High Arm In Endangered Spine (H.A.IN.E.S.) recovery position I have no issue with this demonstration video so long as there is no potential for a spinal injury. However for a suspected spinal injury it should be undertaken differently as follows - ruclips.net/video/x3Wzp8b5hfw/видео.html

Omg you people are SLOW AS HELL!! You need to get out of your own two block radius a little more, invest in learning how to swim, and educate yourself before you get on Beyoncé’s Internet embarrassing your kids!!! This is called “scanning” it’s a Lifeguard training technique 😂. You are taught to scan with your head not just with your eyes. Anyone who lives in SoCal sees this all the time lmao. My friends who are also lifeguards DO THIS EXACT SAME THING!!!! Are they 🤖 robots too!

Can the patient actually breathe on their own when the face mask is on? I think in real life, I would take it off between cycles of chest compressions.

The advice on the chest thrust is totally wrong. The fingers SHOULD NOT be over the heart of the baby. This is the position for when we do CPR. In this case we are trying to create a back pressure behind the object to expell it. This technique is taught in the SAS, CIA, MI6 etc for taking an assailant out. It puts the heart into VF which you could do if you do this over the heart of the baby. By the way a baby is not an infant. Moot point. The fingers should be either side of the heart above or below the mid point. The Red Cross need to review this as they have done over the years in adjusting their advice in the First Aid manual they publish.
