The auto engine shut off and start when you're at a stop light is garbage. It's wears out the battery and starter quicker than it normally would. I disable it on my XLT. The trouble is you have to disable it after each startup.

This feature is the reason why many starters get replaced. My parents and my sister have installed an auto start/stop delete on their vehicle after having 23k-48k miles on their vehicle and had to replace their starter. Worst features in vehicles. I own a car without the feature, already passed 140k miles and the starter is still in great shape.

Your engine experience the most amount of wear during start up, due to all the oil draining into the sump. Probably reduced the life of your engine. But that means your car will break after warranty and you can buy another one, so manufactures don't give a shit.

These cars have special starters meant to that thousands of times. And you use waaaay more fuel just sitting there by shutting the engine off you DO save fuel as it takes 15ML to start it and 70ML for every minute it runs
